In this new #PoetryinMotion, produced in partnership with the inimitable Poetry Society of America, Timothy Liu’s poem “The Lovers” is paired with a radiant figure from Nancy Spero's mosaic artwork "Artemis, Acrobats, Divas and Dancers” (2001) at 66 St-Lincoln Center (1) Station. “The Lovers” is one of two new poems now on view throughout the NYC Transit system. Their themes “…speak of longing and belonging, the ways in which love transforms our world and creates attachments that defy time and distance, even destiny. They remind us that the language of love, for us as individuals and for our society, must always be renewed," said Matt Brogan, Executive Director of @poetry_society. Happy #ValentinesDay to all who Love!
