Boycot Discord

Hello everyone. I read a discord news article online that says they are forcing us to prove we are over 18 with ID. See below link. Furthermore, a few months ago Discord literally had a data breach that leaked people’s IDs for age verification. See bottom link.

I am not here to start a fight or discussion. I found this out and I want other people to know to make educated decisions that are best for them. And would like other likeminded people to boycot all well.

For me, I refuse to verify and I will not be treated like a child by discord - they will make any account a teen one that is not verified. Which is fucking bullshit if you ask me. I also am highly against age verification with photos or id. So I will be deleting my discord account.

On the "Children's Wellbeing and Schools bill", the Lords have proposed an amendment titled "Action to promote the wellbeing of children by combating child sexual abuse material (CSAM)" that calls for a system that scans all your laptops, phones, tablets, etc and is "tamper proof".

This shit got voted out in the EU, makes sure it gets voted out here to. Write to your MP!

If this goes through, digital privacy in the UK is just dead.
