Saturday - February 21, 2015

I just conquered a 9am-2pm & 3pm-11pm shift with two nanny families today. All I could think of was how much I missed my brothers... I always greet them when they come home from school. I've been working all day and I'm back on the grind again in a few hours (amongst the other commitments I have right after work tomorrow). Would I trade this nanny life? Not for a damn thing.

I'm tired. And my bed never felt so good! Lol!

Wednesday - February 18, 2015

I was reminded of how impatient I can be at times. Lately I've been feeling like it was time for me to find another family. A family that would provide a "set schedule" and a sense of stability. Then I look at my planner and see how much God is increasing me!

I took a step back and realize the relationships I've built with each family. A relationship and bond that often takes a year or so to build. I was humbled yesterday and realize that each family is extraordinary and that's something I cannot let go of.

Preparing some DIY activities for my work week. Make learning fun for your kids/charges! Learning how to write your name doesn't always have to consist of pencils and tracing. Kids get bored and are developing fast! #nannylife #nannyduty #teacherbound

Looking up new ideas for my new charges that I will be working with next week. I've been out of my previous nanny job for a little over 2 months now, and I am so excited to be starting my new job soon!

The best part of waking up is knowing that you landed an interview! With a full-time job on its way in a week or so, I know I'm going to have moments where I feel like I'll be over-working myself. But doing what you love will never feel like a burden. A Nanny is always be on her toes. She knows that just because the kids were cooperative today, it doesn't mean tomorrow will go just as smoothly. Routines are always changing, kids have off-days too, but the craziness is all worth it.
