“And this one helped him.” The girl’s lips peeled back in a snarl. “A man as strong as ten, and he let this happen.”
Imsantorel shrugged. “Elan’ti do not involve themselves in the affairs of men.”
“You let the men out of the storehouse, did nothing about the men blockading the gate.” The girl shook her head. “That is not uninvolvement, Elan’ti.”
“I was asked for a favor.” He raised his eyebrows, looking so very little like the man Juda knew. “I complied. That was the extent of it.”
