Nao has gotten super busy with his schedules for university and his part time job, so you talked about your insecurities to his bestfriend, Natsuya.

Another day of waking up in the bed alone. You sighed. Ever since Nao was accepted to his new part time job nearby your shared apartment, he got extremely busy.
Always leaving you alone at home, rarely walking or driving you to your university. Seldom eating breakfast and dinner with you, only returning home after you've slept.
As days turned to weeks, slowly became months, you felt distant and unsure whether he still loves you or not. After contemplating your options, you decided to contact his and your close friend, Natsuya.
He agreed to meet up with you at Asahi's sister's cafe for dinner. Upon meeting you, he knew he's gonna end up being the meditator of the relationship. The moment you started ranting out to him, he listened intently.
Natsuya couldn't help but ask, "Do you really doubt Nao? He's a keeper, although he's busy and may forget his promises, doesn't he always get back with double or triple of what you want?"
That made you quiet. You thought back whenever you spend your time with Nao. The grey haired man had always gotten what you always wanted, be it cheap or pricey. Sometimes even the things you're not really that interested in.
He neither does it to please and keep you entertained. He does it out of love and appreciation, and you? Maybe you're just taking him for granted.
You looked down to your lap, mixed feelings build up in your heart,
"Then... What should I do?"
After listening to Natsuya's advices, you went out to the grocery store to get the ingredients on the next day. As you were walking your way to your car, you ran into Ikuya and Hiyori.
"(y/n), you're out buying groceries?" Ikuya asked, looking at your full hands.
You nodded and grin, "I'm making a special dinner for Nao! He's been working super hard lately, so I guess I should prepare something great for him."
Hiyori could see your hands trembling, it was going to be about a five minute walk to your car as it was crowded on that day. He pointed to the bags in your hands, "Would you like some help?"
The two boys helped you carry the items to your car. As they were about to leave, you asked them, "Are you guys heading back to the campus?"
"Yeah, we have projects and assignments to complete." Ikuya shrugged. You could see how tired the young man is.
Swimming about 5 times a week, it was hard. You recalled observing how your brother would occasionally complain about back and shoulder pain from swimming. Especially when he first started swimming back when he was a first year in high school.
You gave the young men a smile and offered them a ride. They agreed and gave you their thanks. After sending them off to their dorms, you decided to stop for a short while to give Nao a call.
"Hello, (y/n)? Is there anything you need?" Nao asked, concern spotted in his tone.
You smiled upon hearing his voice, before you could ask him, you heard a woman's voice, "Nao-kun, who's that?"
"Ah, my girlfriend. Please give me a moment to talk to her," The man said politely.
Despite the stern tone in his voice when talking to the unknown woman, you felt jealousy and sadness in your heart. Nevertheless, you asked him anyway, "What time will you be home? I'm making dinner today."
"Ah, don't worry about dinner, I'm eating out with Makoto and his friends."
You bit on your bottom lip, but answered him anyway, "Okay then. I'll see you at home. Stay safe, Nao. Tell Makoto and his friends I said Hello."
Before Nao could answer, you had already hang up. On his side, he sighed. He could hear sadness in your voice. He already felt bad for not spending time with you the past few months. He turned to look at his female colleague, "Well then, I'll make my leave now. Thank you for the suggestion today."
At Asahi's sister's cafe, his juniors had the look of concern on their faces. Makoto was the first one to ask Nao, "Senpai, did Ikuya tell you anything about (y/n)?"
That caught the grey head's attention, "What about her?"
"Ikuya and Toono ran into her earlier at the grocery store. She sent them back to their dorms too. Ikuya said that she looks tired lately and that she had been planning something for you."
Asahi's sister, Akane came by to serve their drinks. She then said to Nao, "She came here with Natsuya-kun a few days ago. It seems that she was troubled with your relationship with her. Did something happen between the two of you?"
Nao finally understood. Without any hesitation, he turned to his juniors, "Sorry guys, let's eat dinner next week."
He also gave Akane an apologetic look, "I apologize, can you cancel my order? I'll come by again with (y/n) next time."
"No, no. It's fine. Go fix your relationship with her. Now shoo." Akane shooed him away.
Back home, you were on the phone with your little brother, Rei. You weren't the person who would cry on every single ping of jealousy. You'd talk to him for comfort instead,
"Rei, what do you think? I feel uncomfortable that he's with another woman."
"Ehh... I'm no expert in love, but the best way is to talk to Serizawa-san. It may be hard, but you know it yourself, nee-san. Truth hurts, but it's better than getting lied."
He had a point there. He was right, in fact, you were the one who encouraged him to try out with the swim club in his school. Rei called you with pure excitement and bragged that he could finally swim all four strokes.
With the feeling of affirmation, you nodded, "Yeah, I'll give it a try. Thank you, Rei. I'll see you soon."
"Right, I'll let you know when I've reach Tokyo."
After hanging up, you released a deep sigh. You buried your head into your pillow and decided to have a good nap to ease your mind.

About an hour later, you were woken up by the wonderful aroma of your favorite spicy curry. You rubbed your drowsy eyes and walked out from your room to the kitchen. You saw Nao peacefully cooking.
You pouted, thinking that your plan to cook for him failed. Once again, you depended on him. You quietly sat on the dining table, watching him with a small smile. Even though you felt jealous, you still feel endless love for the man.
You dragged your feet towards him and wrapped your arms around his waist, "Nao~ Why did you cook? I was planning to make dinner today!" You whined and hid your face into his broad back.
You felt the vibration of his back from his chuckle, "You were jealous aren't you?"
"Eh? No~ I'm not! What makes you think so?"
"Makoto told me about it. You were at Akane's restaurant with Natsuya weren't you?" Nao inquired calmly. "Well, when I found out about that, I supposed I was jealous that you went out for dinner with my best friend."
You looked up to him in surprise, 'He was jealous? But he didn't tell me who or where did he go with that woman!' You thought. You were about to say something when he turned off the stove and turned around, wrapping his arms around you. Nao then whispered in your ear,
"If you're so desperate to know about my love for you, how about I show it in bed?" His voice was low and he had a soft smirk on his face.
You felt your cheeks went red and you were speechless by his words. You were even caught off guard again when he planted a surprise kiss onto your lips.
