75 years! Today marks the 75th Anniversary of when my Parents got married, June 15, 1946. They have both passed away, but I love to remember their love and power to endure when they came together to start new lives. They were married in the Linz-Bindermichel Displacement Camp, after surviving the mass extermination of their individual towns and murder of their own parents, in what was Eastern Poland and now Ukraine. #benbaseman #naomibaseman #momanddad #anniversary #baseman #garybaseman They witnessed one of the most horrific events of mankind, but had the will to start fresh, moving to America, raising four children. Happy Birthday Mom! Today, August 4th is the anniversary of my mom, Naomi Baseman’s birthday. ❤️ #naomibaseman #mom #birthday A day doesn’t go by, where I don’t think about her. She spent everyday working hard to make the life of her family better. She survived one of the most horrific events of mankind (making today look like a piece of cake) as a young adult, to find freedom here with my dad first in Canada and then the United States. She would call me everyday to come over to eat. I miss her cooking, especially her gefilte fish, the most and her potato latkes. My folks are always in my hearts.
