[ Warrior ] - Pretty much Grey Warden S.W.A.T. Team. On the front lines kickin' down your doors with big clunky armor and high powered guns.

[ Rogue / Ranger ] - Sneaky infiltrators for those James Bond missions. Expert hackers and gatherers of information. 

***Alternatively rangers are used as sharpshooters and snipers in high priority missions. 

[ Mage ] - Forensic Scientists that work in the Crime Labs and to identify new substances. Their brains are really big and they're super intellectual.

Where the Templars act as border patrol officers and discriminate against immigrants coming into Ferelden capturing and detaining anyone suspected of being an 'illegal immigrant' or using the drug 'Fade' and retaining them for questioning. (✖╭╮✖)

Where the Templars claim to deport possible Fade abusers and their families back where they came from but really they just keep them indefinitely in a high security underground government base called 'The Circle'.  

Where the drug 'Fade' isn't particularly fatal to users and actually has the potential to improve the life of the user and of others but occasionally alters the chemicals in the brain resulting in schizophrenics, depression, and homicidal crazies.  (⊙ヮ⊙)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Where the effects of the Fade are hereditary, so Templars seize family members and affiliates even though they haven't ever used the drug first hand themselves. 

Where the most common use for Fade is research and medical work, but it's still a contraband.

The Warden as a rookie agent, partnered with Alistair. They are assigned to surveillance duty during the hearing, and can only watch as Calian is assassinated. They attempt to help during the resulting shootout, but get hurt in the crossfire. (✖╭╮✖)

Where people that shoot up 'taint' only have roughly 48 hours to live in a rapidly deteriorating state of seizures, nightmares, flesh melting off the bone, coughing up blood and choking to death. (✖╭╮✖)

Where people that survive the taint without proper immunity are gaunt and ghoulish and severe brain damage causes them to be violent and unpredictable resulting in a lot of faces being ripped off.  (✖╭╮✖)

Where there is no explanation to certain Wardens surviving the taint and certain wardens dying. 

Where the side effects of Warden taint are hallucinations, severe ptsd, flashbacks, cold sweats and nightmares. But they also gain immunity against farther taint through a natural immune response, and some enhanced perception. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I have more information on ALL the narcotics and the templars vs. mages thing and the alienage/dalish elves also fleshing out every origin you can have in DA:O and backstories on how they became a Warden in this AU but idk how much people want to hear
