*not actually his name ("his name is snart" was an old meme several years ago. Nari's full name is Narisi Skargo, which kinda just ... morphed into Snart.)

Nari is a Fleet deserter who fled to Alternia after suffering some debilitating injuries- He was slated to be culled rather than receive medical care. He was a drill sergeant who reveled in his position of power over new recruits and is a known sadist.

He's crass, prideful, and bad-tempered, but far from stupid and actually better at reading people than one might assume.

As a muse he's almost a decade old! Been through a few iterations and revamps and has been shelved from time to time, but now he's back to be an asshole.

Also a fun fact- He's deaf, due to an illness when he was very young. He uses sign language and lip reading.

01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?

Snart comes from the old meme "his name is Snart" and from the fact that Narisi Skargo has a lot of the same letters/sounds, so it just kinda... Happened His actual name comes roughly from Argo Navis; It was a constellation that was broken up into several smaller constellations representing the parts of the ship. His symbol is Pyxis, or the compass.

02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?

The biggest thing I can think of is prodding at the fact that he fled from the Fleet, but even that won't bug him much. He's not half as insecure as he used to be, with his shoulder fixed up.

25. Is there something traumatic from your character’s past that greatly affects them even to this day?

He nearly got his arm chopped off and then, as mentioned above, had to desert and run from the Fleet or be culled- He wasn't worth the cost of surgical repairs or a cybernetic. He went like 2 sweeps on Alternia without being able to fight- Not for his pride or to do as much as defend himself. He got those injuries fixed finally, but is now in severe debt to the clinic that did the work.

backstory stuff. for like the millionth time. hopefully i won’t change it again

Ex-fleet; Served as a drill sergeant for the majority of his career before getting moved to a planetside position. received a severe injury and was slated to be culled due to it; he promptly fled to alternia. he crash-landed his ship and received more injuries from that. he didn’t know how to get by without fighting and he has such a shit personality that he couldn’t hope to get anything like a retail job (plus he would never lower himself to that) so he’s just kinda. hiveless and struggling just to eat.

i’m putting him at roughly half a sweep after fleeing, so he’s not super malnourished yet

he’s not purposefully hemoanon but it was the only thing he could find to wear and he can’t wear his symbol since he’s wanted by the fleet

travels often to avoid temperature extremes during the summer/winter.

Toxtricity (Low-Key): Capable of generating 15,000 volts of electricity, this Pokémon looks down on all that would challenge it.

Lycanroc (Midnight):  It has no problem ignoring orders it doesn't like. It doesn't seem to mind getting hurt at all—as long as it can finish off its opponent.

Noivern: Although it has a violent disposition, if you give it a nice ripe fruit that it loves, Noivern will suddenly become tame.

Bisharp: This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off.

Garchomp: The protuberances on its head serve as sensors. It can even detect distant prey.

Mightyena: Mightyena travel and act as a pack in the wild. The memory of its life in the wild compels the Pokémon to obey only those Trainers that it recognizes to possess superior skill.

Ani’s kinda hemoloyal? In the sense that they’re afraid of highbloods and thus more polite to them/expecting the worst of them

Snart is...Snart. Honestly he just loves the excuse to hurt people. He does see lowbloods as naturally inferior but honestly it’s not that deep-rooted and it was shaken when he had that crush on Frappe

- Be either tolerant of his shitty, shitty ways or encourage them. He’s been known to tone down the shittiness for a potential mate who was less than ok with him being Like That tho

talk about nari? (i somehow think i have a troll who might be shitty enough to be friends with him but id like to hear more about him before i think about it too much)

nari usually doesn’t tend to attract other shitty trolls because. he’s that brand of shitty. he gets defensive because he Has to be the shittiest person on the block

He doesn’t like people who talk back to him, defend themselves, or sass him. He likes to have people under his thumb, especially now that he’s been brought so low

He’s ex-fleet, and was something like a drill sergeant. Basically he was in charge of handling freshly conscripted trolls, toughening them up and determining who would be culled, as well as overseeing training and such. And he enjoyed his job a little too much.

His military career was all he had; I headcanon that the Alternian military likes to strip everything from its soldiers until they are wholly devoted to the fleet and its cause. He’s cerulean, meaning he’s high enough to live a good life if he plays his cards right, but not quite high enough to be considered irreplaceable unless he proved himself, which he didn’t really

So he got seriously injured on the battlefield and had to flee to avoid getting culled himself. The injury didn’t heal properly to boot so he’s wanted by the fleet and has a permanent limp to keep him from working, so now he’s hiveless and broke with none of the luxuries he’d had his entire life

most of the time he’s either being an asshole or moping around feeling sorry for himself :P
