The clock shifts, there's a minute until midnight - he's not one for the crowds. Or the explosive sounds that come with it, however, he can see everything from the windows of his apartment. Though it matters not, when the company he wants is tucked under his arm. Seconds pass, thirty till midnight. He leans in, pressing a small peck against lips. "Happy New Year, Chuuya." Midnight, a new year, a new chance to love.

Chuuya had been surprised from the text he'd gotten from Ango earlier that day, saying that he'd be home for New Year's Eve. Surprised and elated. They haven't had the chance to spend Christmas together, and he was looking forward to the chance to spend time with his usually extremely busy man.

So here he is, tucked against Ango's side as they both watch the fireworks from the windows of the agent's apartment, blue eyes half-lidded in relaxation, seemingly not bothered by the muffled explosions coming from outside. He feels warm and content, the darkness constantly buzzing underneath his skin silenced for once without the need of a certain someone's nullyfing Ability. Or maybe it's just Chuuya's mind that's quiet; Ango knows about the entity he shares his own existence with, knows what sort of despicable things he's capable of underneath said entity's influence, yet he has not qualms about holding Chuuya close...

He doesn't pull back when he feels Ango's lips brushing against his own in a gentle peck, his heart filled with warmth as he leans into the kiss, pressing back to return it just as softly.
