I just don't like the narrative some promote, that Seb has been pining for Margo this whole time and she's the only reason he's happy again. Aww, isn't that sweet and romantic? No, sounds unhealthy and sad to me. I had a friend whose bf dumped her after a 6-year rs. He moved on but she never really did. They stayed friends, and years later, they reunited, she was overjoyed, and then he dumped her again after a few months. About a year later, he married someone else. I wouldn't want that for Seb.
Sure, I can see that. But you’ve unintentionally hit the nail on the head here; the reason you find that narrative unhealthy is because of your own personal experience, whereas at least one of the anons who think it sounds nice has had the opposite experience.
I want to take this moment to encourage y’all to be mindful of that tendency to extrapolate from your experience and remember that this world is made up of a rich tapestry of other experiences, not least of which (for the purposes of this blog) is Sebastian’s, and that we have no real way of knowing what his experience was or is.
