Ok, but what about if the Nartec launched they're attack DURING the Yeerk Invasion?
Look, I hate to say it, but Visser Three wouldn't even have to try that hard to persuade Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright to start nuking the planet if that happened. So this would probably be a big W for the yeerks, given that they actively want humanity to wipe 90% of itself out so that they can use the remaining 10%.

I was thinking about the Nartec, and had the mental image of the post-war Animorphs grabbing a depth charge (or three), finding that knock-off Atlantis and... tying up a loose end before it becomes a major issue.
On the plus side, this would solve one of their problems. Assuming the pre-emptive strike is successful, anyway.
On the minus side, now they've pissed off the government of every country on the planet, and most of the environmental organizations to boot. Oh well, if Uncle Sam can do it then postwar Jake Berenson probably can too.
Curious as to whether the kids have mentioned the Nartec to anyone in Eleutherophobia. I know it probably wouldn't be a big thing, but you'd think it'd be something that got mentioned to someone at some point. Entirely possible you've already answered this and I just missed it, though.
Oh man. No, they haven’t mentioned it, mostly because I have no friggin clue what I’d do if they did.

Jake: Marco, you realize he’s never going to believe me about the nartec now, right?

In the eventual nartec-human war, would the yeerk whale nothlits get involved?
1. You are an evil, evil person and I like the way your brain works.
2. Yes, they totally would. On both sides. There’d be yeerks who are like “dude, I never liked possessing humans anyway, and turns out they’re mostly decent folks, so let’s help ‘em out.” And there’d be yeerks who are like “aquatic brethren, join me in fucking up the fuckers who lost the last war! It’s Moby Dick time, bitches!” And it’d all be very messy and confusing, not in the least because I... honestly don’t know... where the O.G. whales would come down. We know that at least some whales help at least some humans sometimes, and we also know that all whales have every reason to be super-pissed at humanity.
3. Can we just circle back around for a second to talk about how UNBELIEVABLY BADLY this war would go? Because the nartec have all the military intel on the humans, going back to the earliest canoes and spears. And the humans don’t even know the nartec exist, much less how to fight an amphibious species — just look at Jake repeatedly failing to wrap his head around their tactics throughout #36. So I think the humans would probably win eventually by sheer force of numbers, but a metric fuckton of humans and whales and yeerks and nartec and possibly everything else in the damn ocean would all die in the meantime.

The Narcotics- I mean, the Nartec are plenty evil. Their culture just an indiscriminate mishmash of human stuff, not much discernment between high or low quality products. I love that. This is something I'd love to see footage of. But they also got that conquering-other-races streak. A shame. I was hoping for merpeople friends.
Well, let's see how they get out of this mess this time. Almost got drugged and taxidermied, so that's fun.
