Sasuke's talking so much cause he's trying to convince Naruto AND himself of what he's saying. He's definitely afraid to let himself have those connections again because the pain of loss scares him. He's afraid to get hurt and I totally understand given my recent relationship woes / other peoples reservations about letting themselves love again despite there being open arms right in front of them. Wow. When I word it like that I sound like I ship them. I don't. Just drawing a parallel since I've had that battle recently with someone close to me not letting themselves grow attached to me despite their feelings and all I could really do / can really so is just not give up on them and keep my arms open.
