So... I've just noticed something for accident.
Everyone knows about Sasuke's and Naruto's fight at the Valley of the End, right? Well yeah, here's the screenshot from their last clash (Chapter 232, last page):
Yeah I know you've seen that. But have you noticed on the details? I mean, the not so obvious ones?
Here, let me explain. Take a look at their other clash when team 7 reunited for the first time in Naruto Shippuuden (Chapter 485, page 12):
...so? Can you see the difference?
Take a look at Sasuke's hand on both pannels.
On the first one, his hands are like Naruto's; it's like their hands are trying to reach each other, but there's something stronger than that (and that would be Sasuke's hatred) preventing they get close to each other again. But note, Sasuke's heart at that moment was drenched in sadness and hurt, and I don't doubt that he wished at the bottom of his heart that he could just go home with Naruto and be part of team 7 again, without having to worry about all that Itachi thing. But he forced himself to continue fighting.
On the second pannel, Sasuke's hatred after discovering Itachi was innocent made him completely blind. So his hand is as sharp as a knive. He couldn't feel anything besides hate at that moment...he was completely lost. But Naruto kept insisting.
And now we have the war. When Naruto and Sasuke worked together for the first time in years, but contrary to what Naruto and Sakura felt, Sasuke still felt hate (Chapter 634 page 17):
Obviously, his teammates noticed it. The war goes on, and later on the manga, we have them working together again. (Chapter 631, various pages):
Look at Sasuke's hand. Notice that Sasuke's getting used to working with Naruto again.
Their hands are no longer against each other. They're working together; they're both grasping the strength they know they have when they're side by side, and they're giving it all to go and win against the enemy.
The result of this? Of fighting together with the only person Sasuke managed to keep dear in his heart?
Remember what Itachi said? Back at chapter 484, page 4.
Slowly, Naruto's managing to paint Sasuke's blank canvas. After the recent chapters, where Naruto's spilled out his feeling for literally everyone (and that includes Sasuke), I don't have a single doubt in my mind that Sasuke's heart has been colored orange. At least half, or more than half of it.
So if you're thinking what's Sasuke's up to, I wouldn't be so certain he's up to bad news. Don't forget his opinions and goals change extremely fast.
Of course that's not friendship. That's love. No one can deny that. I'm not saying it's romantic love (though I do NOT discard that option), what I mean is what Naruto's been saying all the time: "Sasuke is like a brother to me". If he's like his brother, it's obvious he loves him, meaning he cares about him so much that if he had no other option but to kill Sasuke, he'd die with him.
"I won't be the hero who killed you, nor will I be the loser who died by your hands. If we fight again...we will both die!"
