Why does no one ever talk about Naruto's reaction to Sasuke saying he wants to be Hokage? His reaction is my favorite,and it bums me out they completely skipped over it in the anime.

Naruto Chapter 632 Reaction

Again, the reunion feels too rushed. Omg, Kiba love <3 It's okay baby, I'd support you for Hokage. Actually, why don't they all fight for it hahahaaaaa. Shino, your jokes are incredible. They are seriously underplayed. Ohohohoo I knew Sakura had an inner BAMF that had yet to be revealed. Freakin' Naruto, should have known not to ever mess with her in the start. Omg can Madara and the First just fight already?? I want to see it so badly! Team 7 wheeee. 

And I did not realize there were SasuSaku moments until I checked Tumblr. I guess finals creeping up is making me lose my ability to detect those moments sigh.

Naruto Chapter 631 Rant

If you consider yourself an avid fan of Naruto just stop reading right here, because you will definitely not be content with anything we have to say about the latest chapter. This is rant done very unprofessionally plain and simple. If you're a fan with an open mind, then continue at your own risk. If you're not a fan at all, grab some popcorn and enjoy.

We have not been so discontent with the Naruto manga up until this moment. The inconsistencies and poor writing have been building for the last 2-3 years now, but we think it's safe to say it's hit the climax. 

Kishimoto is literally turning his own story upside down with all of this shit and we think it's about time he got his own shit together.

The number of controversies and inconsistencies in this single chapter leaves us awestruck, we'll make a list for your viewing pleasure~

1. Sakura X Naruto?!                                                                              

So for any of you who might've forgotten the last few chapters (which is understandable) Hinata x Naruto is all but canon. They held hands, had their moment to gaze into each others eyes deeply, and Kishi even donated a volume cover to the both of them. 

So why in the living fuck did Naruto call Sakura his girlfriend this chapter and Minato conveniently state that Sakura resembles Kushina as foreshadowing to Sakura and Naruto getting married?

Is this Kishi purposely trolling his entire fanbase of shippers or is this just bad writing? When authors troll regarding shipping its usually incredibly enjoyable (lookin at you Tite), but why would you troll after you basically make one of your ships canon? At least have the decency to hold back on making the relationship canon before having your fun trolling the shippers. Now it's yet again incredibly confusing who Naruto will end up with. The world may never know (we actually will, by the end of the friggin series of course).

2. What EXACTLY is Hashirama's and Madara's Relationship?!

They started off as childhood friends, grew into friendly rivals, then into not so friendly rivals, then into bitter enemies, then as of this chapter the are back to being friendly rivals? 

Madara literally got an OG hard on when he saw Hashirama enter the battlefield, and they way they are talking is definitely not the way mortal enemies regard one another. Their facial expressions, dialogues, and reactions are completely off.

It's not that we're against a "friendly rivalry" between the two, it's just that they've been dead for countless years. The way it ended between the two of them in actual life, they were definitely bitter enemies. So how on earth are they suddenly going to switch back to the friendly rival phase after being dead for so long which also means there was no way for their character to develop during that time?! As funny as it was to see their reactions and interactions, it doesn't make any damn sense. 

3. Bombshell of the Century, Sasuke's Choices and Decisions and the rest of this god-awful chapter

The last time we facepalmed so hard for Naruto was when Kishimoto decided to name the chapter of Tobi's reveal "Obito Uchiha" which instantly gave away the entire premise of the chapter on the first page.

The same with Hashirama and Madara, we are NOT against Sasuke becoming one of the good guys. That has been foreshadowed for a long time and was bound to happen before the end of the series. The way it was handled is what we're talking about.

All of the planning and foreshadowing Kishi did put into Sasuke went down the toilet. Naruto's goal from the beginning of Shippuden went towards returning Sasuke to the Leaf Village, and guess what? He ended up being outdone by a dead hokage. 

All of Naruto's hard work put in, his older brother dying TWICE, Gaara's speech to him during the kage summit, Tobi telling him of Itachi's true intentions, countless other occasions, and a DEAD HOKAGE'S STORY makes him change his mind? It's not like any of the other stuff was even referenced when he turned sides, maybe only the Itachi parts were deemed somewhat important.

It's a disservice towards Sasuke's character to be so abrupt like this. Let's not forget this is the same guy who was going batshit insane less than 200 chapters ago and was threatening to kill all of his former comrades of the Leaf Village. It's not like anything big was even changed since then regarding his own views towards them (he barely got any screen time since then!), but now he's just like "Sakura-chan, please take me back ~doki doki~".

The Hokage decision is even worse. How is becoming Hokage going to change a damn thing? Is it really fair to completely blame the state of the world at the moment on the former Hokage's alone?! Because that seems to be what Sasuke is doing. It's so totally immature, there are probably a million more cogs working to make the world shit other than your precious former Hokages.

For Naruto, the entire premise of becoming Hokage had become irrelevant until this chapter, but now it's suddenly a big deal again. At the moment, being a Kage in the Naruto world means close to nothing, this is a carbon fact, and we don't see Sasuke's reasoning at all. Plus, the brat has a lot of nerve automatically assuming he'll do better than every single other Hokage; He's a psychotic, incredibly emotional teenager for christ sake.....

4. WHY ARE CONVENIENT TECHNIQUES CONSTANTLY PULLED OUT OF ASSES

"THE GATE OF THE GREAT GOD! IT'S SAID TO BE A TECHNIQUE ONLY 4 NINJA OF HOKAGE LEVEL CAN DO!"

How surprisingly convenient for the Shinobi Alliance. Does anyone else get frustrated to no end how many times Naruto does this? There is always that one technique that is so PERFECT for the situation and goes so PERFECTLY for the scenario at hand, take Izanami for example (oh boy was trying to forget that one). It's so horribly corny and disgusting that we can't help but scoff. 

That being said, we can't deny the fact our inner fanboys smiled seeing Team 7 reunited at the end, that's our childhood reborn after all, even if the events building up to it were shit. 

This was a pretty fun rant to do, and we think our blood pressure only skyrocketed 50 times doing this, so that's a good thing. We hope you cruel, terrible Naruto critics like us enjoyed this, until next time (here's hoping it's not as shitty)!
