So this is why I'm crying about Naruto this morning:

Naruto Shippuden Opening 8, DIVER by NICO TOUCHES THE WALLS.

Ok, so, Naruto (who was just "saved" from the deep by his precious people) is now high above and sees Sasuke drowning in it (notice how the water is in the same pattern as Tobi's mask!) and he goes back for him. Like, he will not allow Sasuke to drown on his watch even though Sasuke is leading it himself. THAT is why I love Naruto. That is why the bonds of their friendship ultimately bear fruit. That is why this story is so rich. That on a random Friday morning I am taking time away from my job as a responsible adult(tm) to cry about this. _and_ I don't even fucking like Sasuke!!

I remember the very first time I watched Boruto, and I cried so much at this part because I was so so proud of Naruto. That whiskered little SOB did it!!
