Shinoten Fankid: Susu Aburame

As promised, here's the Shinoten fankid! Her name is Susu Aburame!

(I'm going to ramble a bit now)

The name Susu (簌簌 - pronounced as Soo-soo) has chinese origins and its literal definition is "a very slight sound" and often means "a quiet person" according to the research I made. I chose it because of its repeating character "簌" (sù) as it follows Tenten's repeating character of 天 (Tian). I also just found it cute! It has an "S" like Shino and his father Shibi do, and it would be cool if they kept following that trend of including the letter S just for fun!

Susu's clothing resembles both of her parents, wearing a green cropped jacket and a traditional chinese pink qipao/cheongsam underneath. Using glasses was not exactly necessary since she's not a full Aburame, but she thinks they look awesome so she doesn't remove them often

Both of her two braids and bows resemble dragonflies, as their body is long and thin and their lower wings are bigger than the upper ones. (A common name I have seen to refer Shinoten as is "Dragonfly" and it makes a lot of sense, so I decided to include that symbolism because of it. It's super cute 🥹)

A bit more about her!

- She is 12 years old and in Boruto's class, meaning that her dad is her teacher!

- Susu is introverted and struggles with showing her emotions, so most of her classmates find her a bit creepy, but she is really trying her best to open up!

- She loves spring rolls and it's one of her favorite foods!

- Her body holds both kikaichu and kidaichu. It's capable of holding much more dangerous insects, but Shino wanted her to be safe and have a normal childhood 🤙

- Susu is great at sealing techniques and weaponry! Tenten taught her a lot about them!

I am finally reading Boruto after getting pulled into it by my nieces. Honestly, it's not half bad, but I would prefer Boruto if it was just a silly slice of life. Let the og cast have a peaceful adulthood with their kids darn it.

Her name is Enka Lee and she is 13 years old.

Fun facts about the name Enka (円花 ) Means round shape (円) and flower (花). It is also a genre of Japanese music.

Very basic personality - Highly intelligent, but you would never guess it by how much of an airhead she is. Enka despises being the center of attention and is much happier blending into the background. Compared to her parents, Enka is very laid back and soft-spoken.

So in my search for character designs for my follow up to my Interdimensional Sisters artwork I’ve found that while there’s plenty of fanart of multiple Naruto X *character* pairings outside of NaruHina, NaruSaku and surprisingly NaruIno there’s very little fanart depicting what their children might look like (even less that isn’t just baby Naruto)...
