Donald Healey est un constructeur pragmatique, toujours à la recherche de partenariats techniques, sportifs et commerciaux en vue d'amplifier ses chances de succès et de fortune. Nash, firme petite à l'échelle américaine dispose de moyens sans commune mesure avec son officine artisanale et elle lui fournit un six-cylindres 4,1 litres qui donne des ailes à sa légère barquette.

C'est exactement ce qu'espérait Healey ; il la pilote lui-même aux 1000 Miglia mais percute un pont. Reconstruite, la voiture est alignée au Mans 1952 et derrière les deux Mercedes 300 SL, termine sur le podium !
