I can’t stand moments like this, when a secondary character treats the main character (and not only them) in such a sweet way, does things worthy of respect — you might even hold them up as an example to others… And then it turns out they’re a villain and a traitor. And you can no longer perceive those “sweet moments” normally, because you know they were nothing but hypocrisy.
It’s great when it’s well written, but it’s still incredibly frustrating.
