Battlestar Galactica x The Odyssey
14 - The Rebel Basestar as Scheria, Land of the Phaeacians.
Upon being released from captivity on Ogygia, Odysseus is at sea for nine days before washing ashore on the island of Scheria, home of the Phaeacians. Discovered and aided by Princess Nausicaa, Odysseus begs Queen Arete and King Alcinous for help. The Phaeacians are known for their sailing prowess and their magical ships which move at incredible speeds, know all lands, and require no oars. After hosting Odysseus and hearing his stories, the Phaeacians agree to provide him with a convoy of ships back to Ithaca, regardless of any godly wrath such actions might incur.

When will I learn to stop getting invested in expendable side characters? Never! The more important question is when will narratives stop introducing girlbosses only to kill them off bc they're too powerful and threaten the fragility of the narrative!

[4x06] Comfort
In this episode people give comfort to others with a touch. Helo holds injured Gaeta’s hand, Leoben does the same with Kara. Natalie kisses Six. Even Hybrid gently cups Kara’s cheek when she gives her the prophecy. Emily takes Roslin’s hand when she had a breakdown about her mother’s death. Sam comforts dying Eight which is something Athena shied away from. And Roslin touches Adama’s shoulder and reassures him.

Even though the 5-minute mark had passed, Artemis stayed on her knees.
FRED: She’s - she’s really not coming, isn’t she?
ARTEMIS: [sigh] Looks like it.
ARTEMIS: I’m going to stretch my legs.
She hobbled away from the urn.
FRED: (Mama, it’s alright that we don’t meet today. Wherever you are, I hope that you’re at peace. I miss you.)

Suddenly, Natalie Faust’s urn hummed and glowed.
It burst into light so intense that Fred flinched.
A few metres away, Artemis stumbled as the strength in her body was drained in a heartbeat. The humid summer night suddenly felt like autumn chill on her skin.
ARTEMIS: (It worked...?)
She whipped around.
Natalie stared at Fred, disoriented. His face looked so familiar yet so different to her.
Artemis watched them from afar.
FRED: M-mama?
NATALIE FAUST: Frederick!
