their exchange made me think of this also
I cannot express enough how much I love Samuel T Anders. He's an amazing character to me and I stick by that. Being my second favorite Battlestar Galactica character. I love Sam. He has that attitude that lights up a room. He's also a character that literally got handed around like trash through the show. Before I get on that long story on how the writers hated Sam. I defend that man with my life. I hated Lee in both of my first two watches of the show because of Lee and Kara (yes I hate that ship come get me they are like siblings. She literally was with his brother) Sam also tries to see good in people like Helo does. Sam even though he knows that Lee and Kara had something he still tried to treat Lee well. I'm bad with rambles.

Battlestar Galactica x The Odyssey
13 - The Hub as Ogygia, Island of Calypso
After narrowly escaping Charybdis, Odysseus drifts for nine days, clinging to wreckage from his ship. On the tenth day, he washes up on the shore of Ogygia, the island home of the nymph Calypso. For seven years, Calypso keeps Odysseus on Ogygia, even though Odysseus continues hope for a return home. Calypso even offers to make Odysseus immortal like herself, but he stills longs for his wife, Penelope.
Locations in Battlestar Galactica as stops in the Odyssey. Quotes are from the Robert Fagles or Emily Wilson translations, depending on what I thought fit best.

New BSG writing community
Hi all! Ages ago, there was a post circulating on here to the effect of "I always have writer's block now, but remember writing 100's of pages of roleplay with friends once upon a time?" and it seems like that resonated with a lot of people. I couldn't find the original post to send out specific invites, but thought I'd make a community for people to play and get creative. No real rules at this point besides "don't be a dick." Consider it a space for round robins, prompt exchanges, whatever people want to do, basically.
Have fun?!
Edit: do I need to send invites? If you want an invite, interact with this post!
That post that keeps circulating about how everyone used to write 100s of pages on AIM with their besties? Let's try that again
been sitting on these for awhile and decided it’s time they saw daylight
part one, part two
