Happy 21st Birthday, Nathan Chen!
The only time Nathan Chen fell was on the way to the podium 😂
"Just how can you compare some Bradie and Alina Zagitova, she is a world star, EQUAL with Yuzury and Chen." -Some Zagitova fans about Tennell

The female Olympic Commentator needs to shut her damn mouth. No one is perfect Nathan is only 18 yes he’s been skating for a long time, and he’s a great ass figure skater! But imagine the pressure he’s going through! He’s an Olympic rookie going against a lot of people who have been there before. Like any normal person he was nervous and any other person would have been! They make him sound like he’s the best in the world and putting that much pressure on him is not healthy! His skating is amazing and it will always be amazing even if he doesn’t get a medal. I just want to hug him and cuddle him and make sure he’s alright.
crossovers (✿◠‿◠)
really late, I know.
(edit: I’m going to make an entirely separate post for back crossovers bc that’s an entirely different game lmao)
anyways, hopefully these help! remember that perfect crossovers don’t magically appear overnight so be patient and practice!
forwards crossovers
one of the most important things is arm placement. when you’re doing your right foot over your left foot, you want to think of your right arm in front and your left arm behind you and vice versa. when you’re doing forward crossovers you want to be on the mid to mid-back of your blade so you don’t fall forward
-keep a good knee bend
-practice your inside and outside edges on a circle
-tighten your core
-practice the first push! when you push off the inside edge w your free leg, you want to straighten it behind you
-my coach had me do an exercise where I would stand still and cross one foot over the other, staying upright for as long as possible before pushing off whichever edge and propelling myself onto the ice. yea, it doesn’t sound like fun, but it really helps (plus it doesn’t hurt and you can slide on ya stomach like a penguin :0)
-on your second push, you also want to push off an inside edge (NOT THE TOEPICK) and straighten your leg, not only for looks but for speed.
have fun! I know this was kinda short but…yea.
