Sakura Haruka🎐
Immediately after it happened, he knew he messed up. He didn't mean what he said, he knew you were just trying your best to be there for him.
He stopped in his tracks, the reality of the situation washing over him. He immediately backpedaled, feet carrying him to your place faster than ever. He didn't know if that's where you'd be, but it would be the best place to start—right?
He skidded to a halt at your door, nearly taking out the door handle in the process, then knocking incessantly until you opened.
"I didn't mean that, not even in the slightest, I don't know why I said that I'm a damn idiot and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You didn't—don't deserve that... ever."
Suo Hayato🎐
He made it three hours before he texted you again.
"Did you get home safely?"
You, obviously, didn't reply, leaving him on read. He sighed and paced back and forth for a while before he left his home to go to yours. He knocked until you opened and spoke before you could process that he was standing before you.
"I know. I shouldn't have yelled. And I'm sorry. That's not like me and never has been. I just am not always good... In general—I'm not that good, as much as I pretend I am. I'm bad at being soft sometimes and I'm not the best at being rational when it comes to you... I'm sorry. Really sorry." He wouldn't admit it, but his voice was cracking.
Nirei Akihiko🎐
Nirei was almost too embarrassed to face you again.
He calmed himself down and first thing the next morning, he made his way to your place... but when you didn't answer the door was when he felt truly dejected. He sighed and did the only thing he could think to do—rip a page from his notebook and slip it under the door.
"I'm sorry. I know you didn't do anything. I know I was being stupid and overreacting and impulsive and... I'm sorry. You're the one I want to protect most and, how I am now, I know I can't do that... and it destroys me. But at least let me protect your heart by apologizing."
Kiryu Mitsuki🎐
He texted you later that night.
"That was a dick move on my end. Park in 15."
Even if you didn't want to go, you knew you couldn't tell him no. So, you waited in your usual spot at the park for him.
He showed up with his head hung slightly, he held up his end of the matching keychains you have. "I'm sorry. I know you worry and I know it's part of the way things work... I know this is how it is. I know this is how you are. I know I was a jerk. I know, I know, I know... and what I know most of all is that I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I snapped at you for nothing. For the first, and only time, I'm asking you—please don't believe my words. Don't stay away from me."
Sugishita Kyotaro🎐
You didn't hear from him for two days and you couldn't get his words out of your head.
What you didn't know was how brutally he was beating himself up over the whole encounter. He was a complete jerk and he knew it.
He waited for you outside your apartment complex, knowing inevitably, eventually, you'd have to show up.
Despite you trying to turn and walk the opposite way, he was far faster, gently grabbing you by the elbow, "... 'm sorry..." he mumbled, "I was an ass... and I'm not good at apologizing... Let me make it up to you. I don't know how, but let me try. Please."
Tsugeura Taiga🎐
Out of habit, he still sent you his usual gym vlog later that afternoon. He got upset when you didn't reply... until he remembered the horribly harsh words he said to you. He watched as you left him on read, then sighed.
The next day he was at your door with flowers and takeaway.
"I'm sorry. And I'm sorry it took me so long to say I'm sorry. And I'm sorry I said any of that in the first place. You're not controlling, I know I push it too much sometimes and I know you're just trying to keep me in check. I'm sorry. I'm stupid. I'm sorry."
Momijikawa Sakae🎐
He was far too stubborn to feel guilty... at least not at first slowly it began to seep in. Eating at him slowly, but surely.
He couldn't sleep, couldn't focus, suddenly everything was just inconsolable regret. There was only one thing on his mind—you, and how the hell he was going to fix this mess he made.
Every time he tried, though, he only felt himself get more and more frustrated... Every plan he'd written down to apologize just seemed stupid or tacky, and you deserved far more than that.
Days turned into a week of not speaking with you, and something in him finally snapped—pathetic or not, he needed to speak to you. Now.
"Look—I know what I said was messed up, and I wanted to apologzie sooner, it's just nothing seemed good enough. All I know is when I'm with you, I feel like things are right. That for once in my life, something isn't going to blow up nin my face and I'm scared—terrified, of losing that. So I... pushed you away instead. And I'm sorry."
Kaji Ren 🎐
He was heated. He was panicking. The walls felt like they were closing in. Kaji locked himself in his room for the rest of the day, unable to think straight after your argument. When he finally came from his daze, he texted you immediately, asking you to come over.
He didn't expect you to do so after how cruel he was toward you, but he was truly grateful you did.
"I'm sorry..." he said, his voice soft and cracking, "I just was overwhelmed and... I took it out on you... I can't express how sorry I am. Please don't leave me, please don't leave me alone." He quietly repeated his apologies as if they were prayer.
Umemiya Hajime🎐
He'd gotten the space he asked for. And quickly he realized how much he hated it. He didn't want space, he didn't want to be alone, he just wanted you. But he ruined that... didn't he?
He waited a couple days before going to find you.
He knocked on your door, waiting. When you opened the door, you were met with a dejected Umemiya holding out flowers. It was a far cry from the boisterous Ume you knew.
"You don't hold me back, or weigh me down... I don't know why I said it. I wasn't thinking. I don't need space, I don't want space. I want you. Always."
Hiragi Toma🎐
He took a few hours to cool down before going to find you, realizing that he completely overreacted.
"Hey," He said, voice soft, "Thought I'd find you here." He continued as he sat across from you in the cafe. You stayed quiet, just staring at the cup on the table.
"I know I was an ass. I completely and utterly overreacted over something stupid. I'm sorry. You didn't deserve that." He apologized with a soft sigh. "If you could forgive me, give me another chance, I'd be forever grateful."
"You will never yell at me again." You said, and, without hesitation, he nodded.
Tsubaki Tasuku🎐
He wanted you to hate him. He wanted you to stay safe, away from him. That's why he did it. He just wanted the best for you... so why did this decision feel like the worst thing he could've ever done? He cried hard that night, pressing your contact late into the night. It went to voicemail.
Through soft sobs he spoke, "I know what I said. I know I was cruel. I know. Please just pick up... I can't do it without you with me. I don't want to be without you. I just wanted you to stay safe and I thought you'd be safer away from me, but I'm not safe without you. Please talk to me. I'm so, so sorry."
Uryu Sakaki🎐
Uryu sat on his bed after it happened, staring at the wall. He couldn't figure out why he had said what he said. Even worse, he didn't know how to fix it.
He showed up at your place a few days later, knocking until you answered. He didn't speak, he just stared at you for a moment before he wrapped his arms around you, tightly pulling you into a hug.
He began to mumble, "I'm sorry. I wasted my words on being an ass when I should've used them to tell you how much I need you."
It was weird hearing him speak so much... you slowly returned his embrace.
Seiryu Sakaki🎐
He remained stubborn following his explosion. He was so determined to prove to himself that he didn't need you... oh hell, who was he kidding? He was only trying to fool himself. He needed you more than he needed anything else.
He didn't care that it was late at night, he didn't care that you weren't answering his texts, he just cared about fixing what he ruined.
He called until you came out of your apartment, "I will get on my knees and beg if that's what it takes—I will cry, I will plead, I don't care. Whatever I need to do for you to forgive my dumbass."
Momose Takumi🎐
Despite the frustration that simmered inside him, he couldn't remain mad... He knew that you were only trying to help, it's not like you ever pushed him or anything of the sort.
He sighed deeply, laying his head on the desk in his bedroom. The sketchbook was open beside him, filled with doodles of the two of you that he had been working on for the last few hours since he'd arrived home.
The thoughts of life wihtout you began to cross his mind, slowly it dawned on him that they weren't unlikely given the way he'd been rude toward you. Without wasting another second, he stood up, rushing to your apartment.
He knocked, but you didn't open... so, he slipped the page of doodles under the door, a sloppy "I'm sorry, I can't live without you" written across the top.
He sat with his back against the door until you eventually opened it, "Can I come in... please?" he mumbled, looking up at you from the ground.
Mizuki Saku🎐
Mizuki took his time before he reached back out to you. He was mature enough to know when he needed him to calm down and rationalize his thoughts, he knew you were just worried.
A past of deceit would do that to someone, and he couldn't hold that against you. He just hated that you couldn't work with him.
Eventually, he called you back.
"I'll be coming over tonight, same as our earlier plan. I feel hurt that you can't trust me. I know it's just one of the things we need to keep working through, and I'll be patient, for you, I swear. I just need you to work with me too, though. I'm sorry for snapping, believe me, so let's keep powering through this together, okay?"
Endo Yamato🎐
Again, he knew damn well he was the problem. He also was stubborn as a mule and refused to admit it.
He made his way back to yours late into the night, texting: "Look out your window."
He half expected you not to, but was silently relieved when you opened the window and leaned out. He called up to you.
"You know that me admitting this hurts me more that anything I said to you, but I know. I'm an ass. I'm awful. I'm a jerk. I am the problem. I know I am and I'm sorry. Christ, I am sorry. Can I come up? Please?"
Takiishi Chika🎐
His irrational anger faded as quickly as it had set in. He realized that he was being ridiculous...
He sighed and slowed to a stop, looking at the night sky. He had to apologize. Period.
He called you later that night, muttering to himself words of hope that you'd pick up.
"Hey... I know I was loud—I know I exploded... I know. That was awful of me and I let the fear of you getting hurt in any way cause me to bring that fear to life. I hurt you. I know I hurt you. I never wanted to do that and I don't know how to fix it. Please. Forgive me and help me correct my wrongs."
Banjo Kanon🎐
He went straight home, ignoring your texts and calls... He needed to be alone to get his head back together.
Some hours later, after a nap, he rolled over, "YN? You in the kitchen?" He called, sleepily.
No reponse, obviously. He groaned and rubbed his face as he sat up, looking around for you. Until it dawned on him. You weren't here, of course you weren't—he fucked up royally this time. He pushed off the bed immediately, scrambling to get out the door.
He didn't stop running until he got to your door, each knock was accompanied by your name.
"Please! I'm sorry! I need you to be around me all the time! I don't know why I called you clingy—no, I know why! It's because I'm clingy and I projected! Please open the door!"
Eventually it creaked open as you sighed, looking over his disheveled appearance. His hair was all out of sorts and his clothes wrinkled.
"You're wearing two different shoes, you know that?"
Togame Jo🎐
He stayed away for a couple days, needing time to cool off. He knew in the back of his head that he had overreacted, but he was worried you wouldn't forgive him. He knew he went too far.
Was it better to just let you go? He shook that idea away, he couldn't even imagine a life without you.
He called you on the third day, leaving a voicemail, "If you're willing to hear this idiot out, meet me downtown." To his surprise, there you were—
"I can't take back what I said, but I can spend the rest of my time proving that I'm sorry, that I need you."
Tomiyama Choji🎐
He made it about thirty minutes before he snapped out of his delusions. He stopped in his tracks, eyes wide as he realized what he just did. He immediately turned, running back to where he'd left you. He inevitably made his way back to you, wrapping his arms tightly around you from behind.
"I don't know what came over me," he mumbled into your back, "That wasn't me, that wasn't right of me... I don't know what I was thinking. I know you care, I know you are the one consistent I have in this life. You always have shown it and made me feel reassured... I'm so sorry for everything—so sorry."
Wanijima Yugo🎐
He tossed and turned relentlessly that night. Mad at himself for what he said, trying to, somehow, find the reason as to why he even said it in the first place.
The hours ticked by and sleep was even further from reality. He took his phone, sending you a text.
I'm sorry, and what I said was inexcusable. You mean the world to me, always have and always will, I hope you know that. I couldn't sleep without at least sending this, but I will be over first thing in the morning before work.
Sako Kota🎐
He watched as you left, then stared at the cup for another long moment. He knew he messed up. He knew he was wrong. He dragged his hands down his face as he stood, beginning to head the way you'd gone toward.
"Hey, wait." He called after you, beginning to jog to catch up.
"I didn't mean that. That was just cruel and stupid. Yeah you piss me off sometimes, but that's how it's supposed to be," he sighed as he grabbed your wrist. "I'm sure I drive you insane far more than the other way around—I'm sorry. Really. I'm sorry."
Inugami Teruomi🎐
He didn't want to talk to you. He knew what he said was excessive and harsh, but he also felt that it was a pent up explosion after weeks of feeling inferior.
It was a couple days before he reached out to you again, asking to meet.
"Hey..." He mumbled, sitting across from you, "I want to start by apologizing. I know what I said was not okay and I should've said it a lot better." He did everything he could to avoid your gaze as he spoke, "And I'm sure you had no idea about any of that and it totally blind sided you, I just..."
Finally he lifted his head to properly look at you, "I just feel like I am never going to actually be good enough for you."
Arima Yukinari🎐
He took a long walk before speaking to you again. Thankfully, he was smart enough to not let the rest of the day end on such a sour note.
It didn't take him long to find you, of course it didn't—it never did, he knew you that well. With a sigh, he slipped his arm around your shoulders, walking in step with you.
"I didn't mean any of that. Just stressed out... Bad. I'm sorry," he leaned his head against yours as you kept walking. "You're the one thing keeping me afloat, and I hope my dumbass didn't just sink us."
Kanuma Minoru🎐
A low whistle sounded from Arima from behind as you'd stormed off.
Kanuma completely froze, looking at his hand that was, bordering on being mangled. Without a second to spare, he shoved it into his pocket and rolled his eyes, "... shut up."
"Nah, I'm not shutting up, cause if you just fucked that up? Then you just lost the best thing in your life," Arima said, his tone unwavering and strict, "So, I'd highly suggest you turn your ass around and go find them and apologize. Now."
It wasn't that he needed convincing, he was going to do it anyway, but still... it was the kick in the ass he needed. Kanuma quickly took off after you, calling out.
"Please! Wait, stop, stop, stop." He grabbed you by the wrist, careful as to not harm you. "That was stupid. I know you mean well. I'm sorry. Im really sorry, I just... I felt overwhelmed and unfortunately I took it out on you—and I promise, that'll never happen again... So please? Forgive me?"
Suzuri Shuhei🎐
True to his word, Suzuri took the rest of the week to himself. Busying himself with training at work and repaying the debts he felt he owed to Roppo Ichiza for helping him out.
He was on his break, sitting out back behind the restaurant, just thinking when you cleared your throat to het his attention. Instinctively he scooted to the side to make room for you beside him.
"Suzuri, I'm really sorry I made you feel that way." Your voice was genuine and soft, but he shook his head immediately.
"No, it wasn't all you. It was hardly you—It was just me. I have been feeling so guilty about everyone being so... so nice to someone like me. And I can't help but constantly think I don't deserve you. It's hard to get out of that train of thought I used to have, y'know? I'm sorry, really."
Miyoshi Akihito🎐
He immediately regretted his words and stopped.
Before even another minute passed, he turned back around and reached out to take your hand. "Hey, no... I didn't mean that." He pulled you closer to him, wrapping his arms around you tightly, "That's not what I meant..."
His head was laid against yours as he rubbed your back, mostly to soothe himself at this rate more than anything, "You do help me in your own way, you keep me sane—and that's the one thing I need the most in this world. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I didn't meant that."
Nakamura Kanji🎐
Despite telling you not to show up, he desperately wished you still would. The second those words left his mouth, he had regretted them. They were the furthest thing from the truth he could've possibly spat out.
The relief hit him like a bus when he saw you approach, his steps were big and fast to close the distance between you. "Thank you for still coming..." His voice was mumbled against your shoulder as he crushed you in a hug.
"I'm sorry for what I said, I know it was uncalled for and stupid. I know you respect me and my time, I know you do your best. Patience isn't my strong suit and I jumped the gun... I'm sorry."
Otowa Ritsu🎐
He sat at the piano at work, every melody was somber and slow for the evening. He couldn't find it within him to play something more intricate.
The shift went by painfully slow, counting down the minutes until he could figure out what the hell he could possibly do to fix things. As soon as he could leave, he bolted out of there.
"You know, in a perfect world, I'd serenade you and everything would just fix itself," he sighed quietly as he sat beside you on the bench. "World isn't perfect though, and I sure as hell am as far from perfect as they come... And I'm sorry, really, I am sorry. I should've asked you how to make you happy rather than just do what makes me happy and hope it works for you, too. Help me help you, yeah?"
Natori Shingo🎐
Natori was as stubborn as they come, so certain that he was right that he ended up spiraling into a blind rage. Nobody dared to step in front of him, too worried about him lashing out beyond repair.
As time passed, he realized something. He knew he was being an ass. He knew you weren't even picking his fights—all you did was defend his name when someone spoke poorly of him. And, really, he was grateful for that. You were a loving, doting partner when he, of all people, did not deserve it.
His head was hung low as he made his way to your apartment in the dead of night. The knock was soft and bordering on hesitant.
"... I'm sorry... Please don't stop defending me..." He mumbled, immediately wrapping himself around you the second the door opened.
