Super happy with the rewritten version of Natoya! In the first chapter posted on Wattpad and Royal Road, you can see she's pretty sassy and hellbent on running away. But you know what's better than starting off with a sassy, irresponsible character? Growing into one!

Summary: Turned into a pleasure slave by a scorned princess, Atemu fears he will never find true love. Perhaps his new master can change his mind…

Comments: I'll admit, slave/master things are not my thing but this is handled well. Yugi does his best to give Atem an independent life, but it's not too independent because the boy guy had been chucked 3000 years into the future by his priests in an effort to break the spell and cars are scary.

There's a fair amount of time travel in this fic - oh boy did not expect that - and more smut than I expected too. Once you hit the halfway point, oh boy. I will admit to skipping some. Others I just tried to hide what I was reading while I sat on the train, because all week I forwent my normal commute entertainment for this thing. I gave up dinner for this fic at least once and I'm still having a hard time pinning down why other than a fair amount of unexpected twists that kept me interested.

I will say this fic is old - 2011 - and engages in things I feel are rare now (anzu bashing, for example, but it treats tea as a separate character wonderfully). There is also such a focus on relationships, Joey is a blink and I don't think Honda appeared once. Odd for a story with a really large cast, but a good half of it is set in Egypt.
