It was the loveliest Saturday morning you had had in a long time. You made sure as much light could flow through your window in your kitchen as possible before you got all the equipment and ingredients ready to make what you’d like to call a fancy breakfast for Maria and yourself. You girlfriend was still sleeping peacefully in your shared bedroom, so you tried to be as quiet as possible, so you wouldn’t wake her up. You liked thinking about what she might be dreaming about while preparing your breakfast, quietly humming to yourself. The sunny weather which basically came out of nowhere truly had some great impact on you as you were feeling more energetic and happier than the last few days. All your worries and stress seemed to leave your body, and even though it only lasted two days, you were still very grateful.
You were almost done with the breakfast for the two of you when you heard the sound of Maria’s slippers hitting the ground and you soon saw your still sleepy girlfriend entering the kitchen. She placed a tiny peck on your left cheek making you smile and you showed her what you were up to.
“Oh my God, it smells really good, can’t wait to eat all of it”, she said with a husky voice, flashing her famous smirk at you. You acted all offended and turned to her with raised eyebrows.
“Oh, so you wouldn’t leave any of it for your beloved girlfriend who woke up early just to make such great breakfast for you? I’m more than disappointed, Maria Hill.”
She simply smiled at you and pulled you in for a kiss while she reached out for the plate behind you, stealing a bite of your ‘fancy’ breakfast. You just laughed at her when she pulled away and winked at you, still making your knees weak after all this time.
