It’s my first real book and even though we are very much still in the weeds writing wise, I like building hype, what can I say. I am making a lot of progress in spite of some hiccups, and I’m excited to share this journey with you guys!

Ever since the death of the last High Queen and the turmoil between the kingdoms that led to the treaty of the Martyrs’ Bond and the crowning of the first High King of house Tiegchelar, whenever an heir comes of age the most noble houses of the kingdoms must send the progeny that would be his peers to the capital to foster alliances and strengthen the bonds that were forged after the war. But High King Haerik is old, the High Prince is spoiled, and the aging Princess Liensje is still bitter that the law robbed her of the throne, making the tension in the city of the Gods’ Mirror almost palpable. The only one who seems to be flourishing is Lord Haegsmin, and the presence of a northern girl like Fithraen, from the same line as the last High Queen whose death caused so much suffering, and her sworn sword Cúain, promises to bring about the chaos in which he thrives.
