Simple homemade deodorant recipe 🙌 I find this works really well. If you google there are so many recipes. It's worth trying a few to see what works. The one I am sharing below doesn't have arrowroot as I had run out- totally up to you to add arrowroot flour or not. It acts as a thickener but you can always just use baking soda. The simplest ever version of this recipe just requires 3 ingredients coconut oil, bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) & essential oil. ✨ 4 tbsp bicarbonate of soda 🌴3 tbsp coconut oil 2 tbsp shea butter (optional) 1 tbsp sweet almond oil (optional- I use because I live in a cold country & this makes it a bit softer to spread in the winter) Essential oils of your choice (I've used lavender because I'm pregnant & it's one of the ones it's definitely ok to use in pregnancy) 👃 Bicarbonate of soda is a natural deodoriser. Coconut oil is also a mild antibacterial but really it serves as a carrier oil/moisturiser. Shea butter is a great moisturise & also helps to reduce shaving bumps. Essential oils- also help to deodorise & reduce the anaerobic bacteria that cause the odour. ☝️ NB. Some people find baking soda irritates them (it can also be the essential oils so be sure of this also!) so you can always cut it with more arrowroot powder (as mentioned above) or swap completely for diatomaceous earth. 👌 TIP- Always do a patch test to make sure your skin isn't irritated & trial these homemade recipes wearing an old t-shirt to make sure you don't get any stains from either the oil or the bicarb...
