Welcome to the world, Shadows.
Does Forest accept hugs? Tell him he's my favorite
You’ve all created some rather bashful Shadows...
I dunno if anyone asked but Intro Boys Intro Intro give us the proper intro 👏👏👏 Speaketh your mind we want to know who is the best boy
“Well you see, we’re kinda new here ourselves, considering we only were summoned into existence about an hour ago... We don’t even really have names yet...”
“Names?? What the hell are you talking about? I’m Shadow! You’re Shadow! All of us are Shadows. We are nothing more than that.”
“Of course you would say that, Pipsqueak.”
“WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!”
“While you fools were busy blabbing about the woods, I already sorted our little naming fiasco. Now let’s see here....Purple, you’re Stitches. Green over there is Droopy. Red, you’re Pipsqueak of course. And I’M Stripes!”
“D-...Droopy??”
“Because of your hat see?”
“Yeah those names are shit if I’ll be honest.”
*shrug* “Everybody’s a critic.”
“Well...our Light World counterparts are named after their colors, are they not? Perhaps we could do something similar?”
“You really wanna associate us with those FREAKS?!”
“You said it yourself, we’re already their shadows. Besides, Blue Shadow has a point. If we just refer to ourselves as “Shadow” it’s gonna get reeeeeal confusing real fast.”
*Crim says nothing but crosses his arms and grumbles*
“Colors....darker colors?...I guess that would make Red Shadow....Crimson Shadow? Yeah! Crimson like blood.”
*Crim seems to perk up a bit at that*
“Ooo! Ooo! What am I?!”
“You’re....Indigo. But that’s a mouthful. Maybe we should shorten that.”
*Indie smiles gleefully*
“What say you...Navy?”
“My names are clearly superior but I suppose Navy will do.”
“Then I guess that makes me...hmmm...Forest?”
*gasp* “You guys!! We have names!”
“It’s not a big deal!”
“It’s a HUGE deal!”
As the newly named gang begins their departure into the woods a subtle sense of optimism cuts through the dread.
Are yall excited to be out and about in Hyrule soon?
Well...you see the issue is we’re not entirely sure how “soon” soon is....
When that traitor smashed The Dark Mirror, not only did he destroy himself, but he also destroyed the only link between the Dark World and the Light World.
Boss’ mirror is what created us, but it’s no where near powerful enough to be used as a portal. So as it stands, we have no way to reach Hyrule yet....
.......
Personally I’m excited to reach Hyrule. My complexion is too pale. I could use a tan.
Being directly in the Light World sun would burn you to a crisp...
Precisely.
I really should wait for this one but I’d like to know...
What’s Boss’s identity?
“No but seriously, we ain’t allowed to discuss that”

After a long briefing by Boss, the Shadows were finally free to begin their mission.
They were to head to the ruins of The Fire Temple, the last known place of the Dark Mirror. Perhaps that would lead them to more clues on entering the Light World. Or better yet, they could potentially find remnants of the original Dark Mirror still in tact, which could prove very useful to Boss.
There’s only one problem though.
Between them and The Fire Temple lies a massive stretch of forest, known as the Forgotten Woods. The whole area is roaming with beasts, secrets and a bunch of peculiar folk. It’ll take weeks, maybe even months to get to The Fire Temple by foot, but unfortunately from Boss’ remote location that is their only option.
Into the woods they go.
