misc fellers part TWOOO
An idea.
I finished the story of ffxv a while back and I have a lot of thoughts on it, I really felt cheated that you don’t get to see the world of ruin in chapter 14, only a little bit of information from Talcott, which got me thinking...I just thought of an episode of Ffxv that will probably never happen. Episode Talcott, it would take place during the long night, a couple of days before he picks up Noctis. It would basically allow you to explore the world of ruin that Chapter 14 didn’t let you see. Getting to see all the side characters and how they’ve changed Seeing just how crazy and desolate the world became. Talcott could probably use any weapon like Noctis can but he has no warping, phasing or magic, so it’s like if ffxv had a hard mode or something And you would have to choose which four weapons you carry every time you leave his truck. Maybe you would temporarily have party members in certain parts, a random hunter or two, Iris, Cor, Aranea, but not altogether. Maybe like the final missions would be to get the bros to hammerhead, one by one. Prompto is already nearby hammerhead. Gladio is in Lestallum. Ignis is in some dungeon, training. There are many other missions of course, many of the story missions help with exploration, A mission takes you to where the Wiz Chocobo Post used to be, seemingly all of the Chocobos are gone, it’s overrun with daemons like everywhere else but not as bad for some reason, the reason turns out to be because of a violent black Chocobo, the same one that Noctis and the others saved as an egg, Talcott manages to befriend and tame the bird which opens up the world more. You can see how packed Lestallum is. Lestallum is the main hub, with a huge accessory shop that was started by Dino, towards the start of the Episode you can hear dialogue about Dino being missing, assumed dead, There are side missions given to you by familiar side characters, one from each, A sidequest from Vyv to find a photo of old King Regis, which can be found in Cape Caem, which is one of the few safe outposts you can open up with a story mission having Cor as a party member, There’s a sad scene about Jared when you visit his grave there. A mission from Sonia needing an old tome that would help with her research apparently, And Nayvth, Who is your party member for his missions or just whenever you want to go fishing, Talcott emulates Noctis by learning how to fish, and the materials gained from fishing is the main way to get Gil. There are multiple “Find survivors” missions which usually have you accompany Aranea looking for survivors that are headed to Lestallum. There is only one mission that lets you have Iris as a party member, and it’s to make way to Galdin Quay to confirm the fate of Dino, they find his clothes and a few accessories that he had on him, Iris lets talcott have them all it’s nothing over powered but it’s better than nothing. In the mission to get Ignis it’s mandatory to call your Chocobo and ride towards the entrance of the dungeon and at some point a Red Giant begins to chase you, when you’re close enough to the entrance the Chocobo will throw you off into the cave, just as the Daemon reaches for you, it grabs the Chocobo instead, it is a very emotional and sad scene, when you find Ignis he temporarily becomes your party member, and you must take out the Red Giant together, it’s a sort of final boss, as it is a stronger Red Giant than normal. The final mission takes you to Cape Caem, where Talcott rests and finds his old Cactuar statues, he puts them in his truck and drives towards Galdin, stopping in front of Noctis standing in the road. And the episode ends. At least in gameplay. There’s a final scene with the sun rising, Talcott takes his hat off with tears in his eyes and he says “Thank you, King Noctis.” Then the credits roll. ◦
