How did Sugar get his tatoos? And whats the meaning behind each one?

Most of them he got as a teenager from his high school crush and best friend, Nazanin.  He’d let her drag him into anything, and gee, she was into a lot.

The majority of his shitty band tattoos were attempts to impress her.  Not that it lead to much.

He has heaps, from Black Flag to Big Black, and dozens of random words and symbols as stick and pokes.  Here are some highlights, however, that I try to draw whenever I remember:
