Gearing up for another little artist residency with @fredartsalliance! It begins tomorrow! I’ll be approaching the theme ‘Breaking Out’ in a number of ways. 1. I am breaking out of my studio and the solitary aspect of creating art. I will be engaging with community members, involving them in the process and development of a new body of work. 2. I am breaking out of my creative habits and tendencies when producing work. This residency will be about playing with a variety of materials, exploring and learning as i go. 3. I am breaking away from my usual forest themes, looking at floral forms to shake things up! Ongoing is my interest in our presence, our experiences and our impact on our natural environment.
