Lunchtime Timeless thoughts
Because I am always thinking about this show (it seems):
S1 Wyatt deserved to get Lucy. S2 Wyatt definitely deserved to lose her in the most painful way possible and NOT get her back. S1 and S2 Wyatt are NOT the same characters (it’s like the Timeless writers were drunk when they wrote the S2 script with Wyatt).
S1 Flynn felt like he didn’t deserve Lucy, but I think he wanted her anyway. S2 Flynn had Lucy’s love (or deep friendship/respect/trust) whether he deserved it or not.
Wyatt & Lucy - nicknames
Anyone remember any other Wyatt & Lucy nicknames/petnames & the episode that they’re in I wanted to make an edit with them but this is the only one i could remeber/find.
Wyatt: See ya later, BABYDOLL Lucy: See you around, SWEETHEART (BONNIE & CLYDE ep)
So my bestie FINALLY watched Timeless
and she finished season two and sent me this text:
Such a simple question. So innocent. But it has been seven months since the movie and I am STILL NOT OVER IT.
This was my response:
Ok so as you can imagine, the fans were outraged, begging for a third season and all. NBC decided to (and read this in a voice with as much sarcasm as possible) "graciously give us" a movie to conclude the series. It is absolute trash. Garbage. Deserving only of a flaming dumpster. Not worthy to be associated with the masterpiece that is the Timeless TV series. The movie not only completely disregarded the time travel rules that had been set in place by the show continually over the past two seasons, but it also took each character and completely obliterated their development, personality, and everything that makes them 'them'. The only character who was mildly still in character was wyatt, as he still acted the part of an absolute entitled jerk throughout. (Sorry if you like wyatt. I liked him in season one but he became such a jerk to Lucy after Jess came back... oh gosh dont get me started). Not only did they ruin all character development and what not, but the fans asked for a movie that would focus on saving rufus and that is what NBC said we would get. INSTEAD the crappy writers made saving rufus a sub-plot, something that almost could have been seen as an accident, breaking their time travel rules in the process. The entire movie is garbage and I absolutely do not recommend watching it. If you want details I can tell you what happened if you dont feel like wasting your time watching it. But honestly, you're better off just making up your own ending or reading the season 3 scripts that a group fans wrote that carry on the show. Its actually really good and feels legit, almost as if the show hadn't been canceled and the trash that is called the Timeless movie never happened.
The reason the writing is so bad for the movie is that they gave it to their two weakest writers who barely wrote for the show and (clearly) did not understand the characters. And I have no idea why. I am still so bitter. Clearly.
You are invited to a glamorous affair

Just because your ship doesn’t become canon, don’t talk shit about a show/episode/writers solely based off that fact. Thank you, next.
"The mission has led the time travelers to the church of a war-torn village, where they’re now huddled for warmth, out of breath, and covered in dust."
I can already see Wyatt watching Lucy trembling with cold, so he takes her carefully and gently in his arms, and then my hearts explodes of all the emotions I'm gonna get if we get a scene like this😍
