So my bestie FINALLY watched Timeless

and she finished season two and sent me this text:

Such a simple question. So innocent. But it has been seven months since the movie and I am STILL NOT OVER IT.

This was my response:

Ok so as you can imagine, the fans were outraged, begging for a third season and all. NBC decided to (and read this in a voice with as much sarcasm as possible) "graciously give us" a movie to conclude the series. It is absolute trash. Garbage. Deserving only of a flaming dumpster. Not worthy to be associated with the masterpiece that is the Timeless TV series. The movie not only completely disregarded the time travel rules that had been set in place by the show continually over the past two seasons, but it also took each character and completely obliterated their development, personality, and everything that makes them 'them'. The only character who was mildly still in character was wyatt, as he still acted the part of an absolute entitled jerk throughout. (Sorry if you like wyatt. I liked him in season one but he became such a jerk to Lucy after Jess came back... oh gosh dont get me started). Not only did they ruin all character development and what not, but the fans asked for a movie that would focus on saving rufus and that is what NBC said we would get. INSTEAD the crappy writers made saving rufus a sub-plot, something that almost could have been seen as an accident, breaking their time travel rules in the process. The entire movie is garbage and I absolutely do not recommend watching it. If you want details I can tell you what happened if you dont feel like wasting your time watching it. But honestly, you're better off just making up your own ending or reading the season 3 scripts that a group fans wrote that carry on the show. Its actually really good and feels legit, almost as if the show hadn't been canceled and the trash that is called the Timeless movie never happened.

The reason the writing is so bad for the movie is that they gave it to their two weakest writers who barely wrote for the show and (clearly) did not understand the characters. And I have no idea why. I am still so bitter. Clearly.

That moment when you realize that Wyatt and Lucy found love in an unexpected place and they grew from it. They dealt with some crazy stuff and still over came it.

They were meant for each other can I get an amen?

Save Timeless

I AM SO ANGRY I CANT BREATHE!

Okay pulling back up for a second... here’s the tea:

In two days I binge watched two seasons of one of the most fascinating, thought through and breathtaking shows, that got me invested in a way that I haven’t felt in a while. That sort of way when you truly feel how distinct the characters are, when the story flows so fluidly and the visuals sincere and unique, that you cant stop drinking it all in.

ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT HAS BEEN CANCELLED?! ON SUCH A CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OF THE SEASON???

HELL NO I AM NOT LETTING THIS GO

I am so happy that they at least got the chance to get a wrap up movie(which is premiering on December 6th)[edit: it was pointed out to me that it's in fact December 20th so I do apologise for my mistake, during my rush of anger and frustration I messed up the date ], but I think that it deserves so much more. Way much more. Plus even though I have a lot of faith in the writers of the show, I believe that it will be really difficult to tie up all the lose ends that were being hinted for the long run.

Let me be honest, I judge shows too harshly, I nitpick the characters to their cores, the dialogue, everything. But Timeless, for me, is one of those incredibly special shows that DOES EVERYTHING PERFECTLY!

Flawed heroes, diverse characters, intricate villains, smart and powerful women, secret organisations scattered through history, the whole package.

And I am absolutely devastated that I missed the time when I could have spoken out during the critical moments of the show being cancelled. But I hope that even this will help and spread the word. Because in the end, its never too late.

What would happen to the world as we know if someone invents a time-machine? What if there are two of them? When one of the time-machines gets stolen from a top secret facility by a terrorist who threatens to turn history inside out, an unlikely trio of a historian, a soldier and an engineer have to find a way to preserve history and take back the time-machine. The more they travel the more deeper and complicated things turn out to be... Is it okay to leave the historical monsters as they were, or change things to save lives? Is there more to the one who claims to be the villain? And more importantly what is Rittenhouse that hides in between the lines of history?

Just give it a go. I promise you will not be disappointed, especially if you are both a sci-fi fan and a history nerd at the same time(like me), lookin’ for some goddamn amazing writing and a quality tv series that will take up a treasured place in your heart forever. 

If you do like it, tell your friends, family, shout it out at the top of your lungs, because this is not the time to be silent! Because there is still a chance!
