A little rain never hurt anyone. We had a great time camping at Cascade lake this weekend. We had perfect weather the entire time even the morning shower while canoeing. Last night we hiked on this trail to see if we could catch a glimpse of the blue ghost fireflies we had read about that only exist during May and early June in DuPont State forest and parts of the blue ridge mountains. We had no idea if we would actually see them going in blindly. We stood in the forest and waited about 30 min or so until it was completely dark. One by one we started to see little glowing dots, not really bright like lightening bugs that glow bright green but a faint blue and instead of blinking they stayed glowing and flying around it was like seeing the stars at your feet.
