1. of the fic you’ve written, which are you most proud of?

At the moment probably my day 2 piece for Allero Week. Angst, aaaaangst

4. what are some themes you love writing about?

Angst. Horror, fantasy and action.

8. is there a character you love writing for the most? the least? why?

Original: I’ve found i really like writing for Lyse and Anmeria a lot. Lyse bc she’s just a great, fun character and Anmeria bc she’s a huge dork really and i love her.

DGM: Road definitely, Cross and Kanda. Cross and Lyse are p similar characters, Road is an adorable murderous child of course I’m gonna love writing her and Kanda is so salty that w him around i’ll never need for salt again.

Tales Of Vesperia: Yuri and Rita. Yuri well i love writing sarcastic characters and Rita is very straightforward w things apart from her feeling tho they’re obvs to everyone else. She thinks you’re an idiot? She’ll tell you you’re an idiot.

Original: Thanh, Kalliope and Valdís Jung. Thanh and Kalliope bc they’re both very charismatic ppl and i struggle writing those and Valdís bc well i’ll keep that to myself or else it’ll spoil it for when i’ve actually started writing it hehehe

DGM: Allen and Komui. Both of them there’s a lot more to than there might originally seem and it can be so easy to slip into writing them as very simple characters rather than the complex ones the are

ToV: Raven and Repede. Raven keeps so many secrets and has two sides to him(I won’t say more about it bc ToV spoilers) but it makes him a complex character so sometimes I struggle w keeping everything in order. Repede is a doge. i write ppl not doge’s. 

9. a passage from a WIP

This is from the thing I’m currently writing for Lyse

Lyse took a drag of her cigarette as she poured herself another shot. Whiskey. A staple of her drinking collection. It was close to her tenth of the day but she didn’t care. A quick glance at the clock; 11:49am. She grimaced and downed her shot. Just over six more hours before the insufferable meeting with her superiors was due to happen. She couldn’t help but catch herself hoping, and not for the first time, that something tragic would happen and cause the meeting to be cancelled but alas she knew that kind of luck would not be in her favour; now or at any other point.

So I've been thinking

Okay.

This may sound weird, and don’t get me wrong this could just be due to me being sick with the flu due to Canada’s hellish weather but I’m pretty convinced that 3 of my favourite lovely writers are conspiring to slowly kill me with feels, angst and headcanons.

No seriously.

I’m not joking.

I mean first time I open my email and tumblr and can actually comprehend what I’m reading and I get hit with @skygemspeaks headcanons (I really should know better by now, Urgh! Gem, I need to hide your Tumblr, AO3 and Fanfiction pages when I know I’m already feeling icky. It does nothing to help me, no matter what my brain tells me.) then, to make the train of bad decisions (which I’m not actually all too sorry about but still have a tiny Bill Cipher laughing at my feels) go full steam ahead, @liketolaugh-dgm and @nea-writes decide to update their lovely stories, on the same day. Which, don’t get me wrong was the cause of great joy. No joke. It made the misery induced by flu state I was in much better.

But.

The end result was still me being a puddle of feels by the end of it all.

You’d think I’d learn my lesson by then right?

Wrong.

I ended up torturing myself by re-reading their fics and headcanons. To the point where I’m pretty sure my kudo and like button hates me. And god knows what’ll happen when I go back to leave a comment when I feel better. As it stands I’m a puddle of feels and nuzzling my phone and stuffed dog. That and I’m pretty sure my kudo and like buttons will kill me…

My week is thus complete

Aftermath

Title: Aftermath - Exorcist!Red ‘verse

Characters: Red!Allen, Leverrier, Mentions of various others 

Summary:  It gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “It felt like I was being torn apart”.

Notes: Because @m0rkl​ destroyed us with these posts, and @nea-writes​ wrote an amazing fic Depravation for this AU as well. So. Please take Nea’s fic as ‘canon’ for this AU of an AU, and both that and this taking place before the Alma Arc. (Also. this is not edited. And be warned of the cursing in it.)

It’s been months since the Level Four attack on HQ and the resulting transformation (mutilation) of Red’s body for the sake of ‘saving’ his life as the soldiers of Central put it. 

Red didn’t know that the pain could get any worse after the first time he woke up. Or the time after that. Or from any of the times he’d woken up since the attack. Or from the bloody forced synchronizations from his childhood. 

He was (so so so) wrong. 

He could still feel the phantom pains ripping across his body from the first training session with the other Third Exorcist experiments. The pain as his Innocence (Edge End, his partner, his other half) activated of its own will, attacking and nearly tearing his new eye out before being forced back into deactivation.The pain as one part of his own body literally rebelled and tried to utterly annihilate another. 

It gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “It felt like I was being torn apart”.  

Of course that wasn’t the end of things. 

After that first incident, Leverrier seemed to take a perverse pleasure (the asshole) in supervising Red’s Innocence training sessions from that point on. 

“You are one of our Critical Point breakers.” He would say. 

“What kind of exorcist are you if you can’t even use your own Innocence?” 

And Red would snarl back. 

(Of course he would - the arse liked to call him a mutt, a street dog, well. He might as well show the arse how much of a dog he was shouldn’t he?) 

His teeth stained scarlet with the blood welling up from his throat, the only evidence of the battle of black and white going on inside his body, Red sneered at the Inspector. 

“Why don’t you tell me what kind of exorcist I am? Heh. After all, I am a part of the Third Exorcist program, aren’t I?” 

It was always those sessions that would go ‘till morning. And those sessions that ended in more blood spilled than the others. 

(The Inspector could be a patient man, but even the most patient can lose control.) 

The rare times when Red wasn’t training, he found himself avoiding the others. 

Eating meals when Lenalee was training. Training when Kanda as meditating in his room. Wandering the halls when Lavi was on missions or with the Bookman Sr. 

He wasn’t hiding per se. And god (what god) hell knows that Kanda wouldn’t be worried about him, the irritating old asshole. But... Lenalee and Lavi probably would be. And Red didn’t want an overprotective Komui chasing him down over making “his precious darling little sister cry.” 

So, he stuck to having his free moments at odd times of the day, with Link never failing to follow him, instead. 

And it worked out. 

Until that mission, and the day, when everything when to absolute shit. 

A/N: Ummm... so yeah. It turned out a bit more stream-of-consciousness-y then I expected, but I’m still satisfied. I should be writing my actual fanfic but I got hit with inspiration so here have this. Yes lots of pain for Red the poor little shit, and Leverrier’s a dick like always. 

This might be followed by an attempt at an Alma Arc scene feat. confused!Tyki, angry!Road, and horrified(?)/angry!Millenium Earl. Because reasons.
