Here is the finished music video for "Destination Anywhere" by Emeka filmed by Dry Rain Films featuring MMA fighters Justin Weaver and Nathan Maas and Nebraska Knockout J.R.
What happens on a Tuesday night in Lincoln? I get a text message from Kriha saying he could use a fighter for some scenes for a music video and of course Justin Weaver knows how to roll with the punches so to speak. So here we are filming on Wednesday night at Menefee's Boxing Club.
Justin plays the "fighter that gets clean" role (bless his heart for letting me throw him into things to help out my friends) I even got a small role as "the girlfriend" (this must be my destined music video role lol) Oh and thanks to Tower Robinson for letting us interrupt his Dexter viewing to shoot at their house too. Nathan Maas is featured as well and coordinated us filming at Tony Menefee's boxing gym. I enjoyed getting to briefly meet Emeka Nwankwo the artist behind it all, he seemed really down to earth and suggested some filming area at Parrish studios so you'll get to see some local art work as well. I think this piece is Ben Jones?? Ben can you confirm? This was fun getting to collaborate on and I love working under last minute pressure, things come together well. Great job by Justin Wieczorek and James Michael Kriha of filming and directing, I think they'll be a great team. We had fun laughing about Justin snorting the powdered sugar they brought over. You know Nebraska holds some great talent, and the great thing about this state is you get to be unique and do things your way and stay true to your roots while chasing your dream. Support your local talent any way you can. Please check into Dry Rain Films for your filming needs. I met James Kriha through the modeling network and did a photo shoot with him and instantly became a fan of not only his quirky personality but amazing talent. We collaborated on gathering people together for the Uprise Brand video. He has done numerous music videos for Lincoln's local talent Trev Taylor.
Justin Weaver was training for an upcoming Amateur Lightweight title fight against Anthony Cox at Midwest Championship Fighting (MCF9) March 15th in North Platte, Nebraska at the D & N Center, which he won the belt.
Nathan Maas was training for his upcoming fight against Grant Dawson at Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) at Pershing Center in Lincoln, Nebraska March 7th. Some of the fights were televised nationally on AXS TV. He lost but is training for his next fight.
Special thanks to Tony Menefee for allowing us to film at his Boxing Gym
