what are your top 5 classic doctor who episodes you think every fan ought to watch
Sure thing, but I'm afraid it's going to be pretty by the numbers, no weird picks (okay maybe one weird pick).
Inferno Classic Third Doctor story featuring a fascist alternate universe, a laser drill to the Earth's core, and the Brigadier in an eye patch, very James Bond.
Genesis of the Daleks Continuing the theme of Doctor Who being a fundamentally anti-fascist show, Hitler in the bunker vibes suffused with nuclear era dread. The serial where the Fourth Doctor becomes the most iconic incarnation of the character.
The War Games A miracle this one survived, a fantastic ten-part Second Doctor serial with one of the best one-off villains of the entire classic series. Features the first on-screen appearance of the Time Lords.
Revelation of the Daleks It's weirdly violent and for some reason Alexei Sayle is in this. The Doctor is hilariously bitchy and mean to Peri, honestly needs to be seen, my left field pick.
The Curse of Fenric It's got everything, Nazis, vampires and a viking curse. The only time post Hinchcliffe & Holmes ('75-'77) that classic Doctor Who nailed gothic horror. Great showcase for what Sylvester McCoy brought to the character.
Girl stop I'm gonna get a complex.

I am a little too stoned to answer this very well but norweigan wood by haruki murakami is good, as is no longer human (I’ve read it a few times), and lots of doestevy I’m not fixing that spelling, I’m sure you know the one I mean. How about you, any suggestions?
@necrotizer ------ ELLIE WILLIAMS / CONTINUED.
GO. “hey, what the fuck? no. i’m not leaving you out here, what are you, crazy?” GO NOW. richie huffs through his nose, lips pressing together, and despite the burning pain in his calves and the way his lungs can’t quite seem to expand completely before he takes his next breath--- he thinks, vaguely, that this must be what eddie felt like only before wondering who the hell eddie was--- he kneels down, hooks his arms beneath hers, and pulls her up to her feet. “come on! hey, you can do it. stay awake! shit---” she’s not really heavy, but he’s not really strong, either. when you’re lanky and tired even a child feels like a ton of dead weight, and richie groans low in his throat as he tries to hold her up. “just--- shit, ellie, you gotta. it’s not that far!”
