Need actual help

So when I paste anything into GIMP that has a transparent background, instead of the background being transparent (alpha channeled, grey checkered), my background is black. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm up to date on both versions of GIMP and Windows 10 and this just started recently.

Okay so since he got snapchat I've been on a mission to record all of Daveed’s snaps, but I've had to use my phone to awkwardly record my iPad screen.... Yeah. It sucks. Anyone know an easy way to record my screen/of any tumblr accounts that already do it so I don't have to lol

So I need some help

As you know my laptop broke down n I haven't been able to gif n post anything and I'm currently looking at some laptops online. But I'm a bit lost because I want a good laptop that will handle a lot usage,lol So I need help in choosing one, here are my requirements,lol - has to have a good amount of memory - my budget is between $350-500 - not a macbook - not big and heavy - a good graphics card Maybe I'm asking too much for something cheap but I want something that's good, cheap n with a memory. Oh and I was wondering which is better a Dell or a Toshiba?
