OKAY QUICK UPDATE FROM THE LAST WEEEEEEEEEKKK

SO THIS IS ME AND LARA SHE'S ONE OF MY BE EFF EFFSIES 4 LYF. We're at Talking Heads in this one waiting to go and play. I think this may have been Friday. It was a really awesome day and despite breaking TWO strings on stage (hahaha i'm such a twat!) I think it went rather well! :D

YEAH SATURDAY WAS GREAT.

and also interesting! ANNDD met some really awesome peeps and it was one of the best nights I've had in a while. AND I didn't crash for long after 2 which is good! :D

I have no pictures of that night yet because Unit (the club) hasn't got any yet because they take aaaggeess...so here's a picture of John from homestuck instead

So it looks like I survived the intense (for britain) heat that's occurred so 

far over here, despite my moaning.

Yeah I moan. But only about the heat and lack of wind and/or slight coldness. It's not that I don't like the sun, but lack of humidity really took it's toll on my optimism and it's been a bitch to do anything and that's why I have been complaining.

Not that I love the snow or anything. I'm more of an spring/autumn guy, is all.

That's pretty much all I've got to say today!

My band, Silver Orchids, have made a new song. this is the second time playing it live, and someone was amazing enough to record it on a rather good hd camera. It's called 'Dirty Talk' because we didn't wanna name it after a Poison song I for one love this song,not just because it has me and my average guitaring in it, but because it is our 'feelgood/confident',bluesy song and Lara's voice is spectacular in it! :) If you like it, then please reblog it again and again until people listen! and then go and like us on facebook :) Many thanks! LIFE IS GREAT

No seriously.

My life has hit that point where there's only a few possible circumstances where it'd be made better.

I love my job. It's challenging while still being fun (to an extent. I mean, I still think most people who come in are idiots and know nothing but you know, that's what 5 years in retail does to you).

I love my friends - I have my usual very small friend group of amazingly awesome friends, best friends I would do a fucking lot for, my work mates who are the fucking bomb, new friends who have changed my life for the better, and you guys! All my Tumblr friends I actively talk to have shaped my life for the better.

My appearance has changed drastically too - I'm no longer the person who would prefer practical over looks and-...no wait,I STILL prefer practical, BUT there's nothing wrong with trying to look good at the same time Which is not to say the same as being vain, but I have an amazing lesson taught by one of my work mates which was 'Dress like you'll meet the love of your life at any moment' and you know what? That's incredibly fucking true. You meet someone, you want to look your best (while also trying to be yourself obviously ;D), so why shouldn't you look awesome all the time? :) 

My morals, my life education, it's amazing - you could have talked to me a year ago and I bet you that while I am still socially awkward, I have come in leaps and bounds to a)talk to normal people, b)establish my own set of morals, esteem and what not and b)practice what I preach. I mean hell, when I was in college, I was the sort who hated doing the sort of stuff that involved interaction. NOW I'm the sort who would prefer things said to my face (and if it's something hones,t respect everyone else before.)

I went through a semi-dark (Not like, cut myself dark. More like 'oh hey yeah I look happy but I'm fucking depressed and stressed all the time sorta thing) time after my ex dumped me (I know I have here on here, and I know she may not care too much either way, but it's not your fault! This was something I had to work through to be me, AND I'm glad you gave me that chance! And on top of that, I wish the very best throughout your life because you are an excellent friend :D In fact, all my friends are)

And it wouldn't be a fucking amazing proper post if I didn't mention my band. These guys really complete my whole demeanor and passion of life and I know if I have ever had the shittiest time of my life, at the end of the week, I had band practice to go to. I don't think I could ever have a bad session from now on (words I know I will probably eat, but this is a short-situation thing, not a long term thing). So most of all, I thank you guys for making my life fan-fucking-tastic! :)

In short for all of that, I guess I respect myself. I love what I've become, and where I'm going, for once in my life. Everything always works out for a reason, and I feel that in the end, I have worked hard to take those lessons and learn something that while I knew before, I never REALLY believed

and that 

LIFE IS GOOD. AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE.
