May I introduce: my very first needlecase

Its been a long time since I sewed my first needlecase. Over a year of constant development and effort I am proud to introduce you to my very first needlecase for knitters and crocheteurs out and about. You have all your beloved knitting/chrocheing essentials, such as a gauge, scissors, dpns, circular needles or a crochet hooks on hand. Every thing and more fits in it. You get plenty of space.

My new needle cases will be released during my next shop update. That will happen this week. I will report back when. :-D

There will be lots of colours and different lining fabrics. Something for everyone. If you can't find something you are looking for ... please do not hesitate to contact me.

タグ付けや撮影など発送前の作業を。(やっと送り出せる至福の時！) 今回はすべてオーダーを承り(数に限りあり)、展示のものは会期後にお渡しか1～2ヶ月後のお渡しになります。

サーミシリーズで一番はじめに作ってみたかったニードルケース。実際に使われてきたものは筒の部分がトナカイの角でできており彫刻を施されていますが、LAVVOにニードルケースは革にピューターの刺繍を施して作っています。とじ針など太い針の収納にも適しており、大切な針を肌身離さず腰からぶら下げるように作られたデザインです。

Baharさんは手仕事好きなお客さまが多いので、ぜひ手に取って見ていただきたいです。

One of the things I love about doing shows and workshops is hearing what others see in my pieces. When I was designing the Peas on Earth collection, I had Peter #Faberge’s bejewelled eggs in mind (particularly the Rose Trellis and Clover eggs) - mundane objects transformed with intricate details. In my case, using the tendrils and delicate flowers of the pea plant to ‘bejewel’ a #pincushion #needlecase and #pinkeep 🌱🌱🌱 . But one of the visitors this weekend saw something different - they saw #Elizabethan and #Renaissance influences and also felt that it was a design which transcended gender - resulting in pieces that all should appreciate 🥰 . I find this fascinating: I know my main audience is female (according to my engagement stats) but I don’t consciously design for women. I design what feels right to me, according to form and function - one design leads to another and another…I trip over into a rabbit hole and keep falling… . As for the Elizabethan and Renaissance influences, I can see where they were coming from 😊 I’m inspired by so many different time periods and locations, it’s not surprising that these will seep into my work without me realising! 😂 For the piece I’m working on at the moment, I’m drawing on my classical studies - I only hope you don’t say ‘it’s all Greek to me!’ when you see it…🤣🏺🪴 .
