Hello everyone and hope your week has started off okay. I’m a little behind on posts as I had a busy weekend and we had work being done in our house tonight which delayed me getting home from work but I’m here with another book haul! Did you expect something else?! 😂😜 I’ve recently subscribed to the @illumicrate box and The Ivory Key was one of the books in my first box. It’s the first in a new duology that follows royal Indian siblings who are estranged but must protect their county from invading foreign forces. I was so lucky to have won Recovery in a giveaway from the beautiful @always_need_more_books for those of you who don’t know, I struggle with a couple of chronic illnesses and have had a few personal losses which have caused stress and heightened my symptoms which I’m normally able to deal with on a daily basis. I’ve been a bit sceptical in the past about self-help but I’m willing and open to give anything a go and this looks really interesting! With thanks to @profile.books 🥰 Finally we have Red Milk, a book that looked too intriguing to let it slip by. It was inspired by one of the ringleaders of an Icelandic neo-Nazi group formed in the late 1950’s and is “a timely reminder that the seeds of extremism can be hard to detect and the allure of fascism remains dangerously potent.” 🧐 I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors.
