WHAT’S CAS UP TO?

Hey, yeah, the next episode set in Chicago looks real neat, but you know what I was just thinking?
I'm having intense supernatural feels. Send help.
So, I feel like Sam took his time to be pissed at Dean for what he did, and now he's kind of worked through all that and is ready to start rebuilding their relationship, which is great and all, but Dean is still sore. He's still - for lack of a better word - sulking about what Sam said at the end of The Purge; that he wouldn't have betrayed Dean's trust to ensure his survival. Of course, Dean now has other things weighing on his mind that are just piled on top of Kevin's death and Sam's accusations. He has the mark of Cain and its power is taking a toll on him. He doesn't want to admit it but clearly it is. Even Crowley can see it. Yes, Dean was being incredibly taciturn and a bit childish this episode, but I find it hard to blame him when he's blaming himself for so many things already.
Honestly, I can understand why Dean is being a bit of a dick to his brother, but they need to move past it and get on the road to a healthier relationship which will benefit them both a lot more than this awkward tension has.
Also, I miss Cas. He helps, I feel, when the brothers are being angsty, to kind of balance them out and help put things in perspective. We need more TFW in the mix.
On another note, great directing Misha :) I'm glad all the pain and pie-faces you had to endure paid off.
Aside from the exhausting bro angst and the sad realization that Dean is basically regressing in his alcoholism (I'll admit my heart broke a little when he took out the giant bottle and took a long pull like it was the only thing keeping him going), overall I thought it was a pretty good episode.
People have missed Cas so much there's already a gif/printscreen/post for every frame of the 9x18 18 second promo. So thirsty for Cas we literally ripped and dissected it into as many parts as possible just to increase the material we have with Misha actually in season 9.
You know how we name seasons in the Supernatural fandom?
Season eight is season gr8
Season nine is season fine
Well I say season seven is season "what is this I don't even"
