     ⌠☾⌡ Two days. For the last two days, Saiko had kept herself in her room, not coming down even when Haise had called her for dinner. Theoretically speaking she could just be sleeping, but from his experience, she could stay up there for almost another week if she tried. More than once, he’d tried to keep her snack supply to a minimum, so she would at least have to come eat with the rest of the squad. Unfortunately, it never worked out. It was like she had a special stash that she saved specifically for when Haise tried to pull something over like that.

     “Saiko...” he paused, reaching his hand to gently knock on the door. If she at least responded and let him know that she was okay, Haise would be more than happy with that. First he had to check though, he at least needed some sort of a response. Any response. “Would you come down for dinner please?”

          “ Isn’t it late for a kid to be out? ” Dasai’s condescending tone came from above. His feet dangling from the fire escape he sat at. Hidden in the mouth of an alley, he sat with his camera in his lap, in the midst of gathering evidence in a civil case he was hired for. 

          He was annoyed at the blue haired ghoul for stepping in his line of sight, messing up his shot. He had been tailing the subject all day, gathering what info he could for later, usually he worked around people, but this girl managed to stand in the way perfectly. He held it up as the shutter clicked, a digital image processing within the camera of the girl. 

         “ Ghouls will eat you.~ ” He taunted her, his grin widening playfully as he leaned forward, the camera still in his grip. She looked like a child who enjoyed video games, maybe it was a midnight release? Whatever it was he didn’t particularly care enough to ask.

It was late in the night. Sasaki, dressed in casual clothing, had seated himself on the leather fabric of the sofa. Fingers delicately held onto the handle of a porcelain cup. Slowly placing the rim of the cup between soft lips, the Quinx Squad mentor would take a sip of his coffee before placing it down onto the table. About to read a book, faint steps could be heard. Slowly shifting his cranium, the investigator gazed onto a small female. Smiling, Sasaki stood from his sofa before slowly walking to Saiko as she held a bouquet of flowers.“Saiko…are those flowers for me?”
