Canon nightmare can go die in a ditch
I mostly just don’t care for those types of killermare interpretations, mostly because I can’t see these two ever being interested in a romantic relationship with eachother. I’m sorry yall cant convince me that Nightmare isn’t a romance repulsed Aromantic— or that these two would be in love.
As for canon Nightmare, I don’t mind the idea of a pure evil character at all—i hate canonish Nightmare as a person. I feel like Joku’s execution of the character could’ve possibly been better, though. I’m just not a fan of completely fanon Nightmare. I don’t care for him as either a person or a character, not even enough to hate him, and I don’t find him interesting.
It’s definitely a lot more interesting if canon elements are factored in, or even if Nightmare is still allowed to be a shitty person, but also allowed to be vulnerable, and understandable, maybe even relatable in some way—and still having the shit he does be wrong, because he is still an abuser.
