#negative art

So I've been doodling with purple ink for the past week or so, and at some point realized that its exact negative is lifestream green. I'm playing with drawing/painting things in the negative now and flipping the colors after scanning. This is quite nice, because dark scenes like this, which are mostly black, are very very hard to do with ink and markers. The technique still needs some work, but it's a good start.

For my graphic design class, we were tasked on making a negative portrait telling a story of a historical event. I was given permission to do the Odyssey! The final project will be on paper, but I wanted to do it digitally first so I could edit it better as I worked
