i don’t know about any of you guys, but i’m so unbelievably excited for this. i’ve wanted pets for so long especially because i can’t get any irl so living vicariously through my sims is my only option. the trailer looks so amazing and i’m so hype i have no idea how i’m gonna wait three months.
but i’ve seen so much negativity and so much hate already and so many people are bashing the sim gurus and going onto their personal twitters to curse them out because they’re not happy about things and i’m just??? what the actual hell is wrong with you? they’re not robots they’re human beings and they don’t have control over absolutely everything and you really don’t have room to make judgements on something before you’ve even played it.
pets aren’t playable. i’ve never played sims 2 so i wouldn’t know how it worked there but lemme tell you in sims 3 it was a pain to queue up a bunch of interactions for the pets and tell them what to do because imho that’s just not realistic. irl we can’t communicate with animals we can train them to listen to us but we can’t tell them what to do and expect them to listen 100% of the time. they’re unpredictable and i’m pretty sure that’s what the sims team was trying to emulate here.
simgurugrant has said this is the best pets pack he’s worked on and he’s worked on all three and honestly i can’t argue with that statement until i play it for myself. if you’re on the fence about buying it, wait. watch reviews. watch overviews. listen to what people have to say and then decide. but don’t go around cursing out the sims team because what is that gonna do?
i’m so excited for this pack and i know a majority of the community is as well i love when they announce packs it brings the community together and that makes me so happy.
