I had a thought about ayato/etouka/yoshimura & hope it doesn't bother you if I talk about it with you..
I was thinking about an au/ situation perhaps/ maybe hc of eto being a little jealous of touka bc yoshimura is a father authority figure that cares about touka’s education/future & idk: perhaps eto always kept an eye on yoshimura noticing his relationship with humans & that touka girl. so once ayato joins aogiri she is aware he’s touka’s brother & puts more pressure into the boy to see him crack someday & get a kind of satisfaction from it. Ideas getting darker whoa srry about that.
aahhh, i like it, mostly because the idea of Eto having it out for Ayato is actually frightening. she could appear to be totally cheerful and sweet while pressuring him harder than anyone else and giving this poor kid the most dangerous tasks and assignments that even senior members would refuse to accept. every time Ayato hesitates she’ll sing, “But you want to protect your sister, right? Riight?” this also explains w h y t h e h e c k a young teen had such big leadership responsibilities in Aogiri when Kaneki was captured lol.
maybe Eto says something someday that makes Ayato realize how much she loathes that cafe and even though Ayato doesn’t think much of Anteiku either, he realizes that if Touka ever comes to Aogiri she’ll be ripped apart, and that’s why he’s so vicious about making sure Touka never falls into their hands. for the most part, though, maybe Ayato completely believes that Eto is looking out for him and his best interests and Eto is vaguely disappointed when Ayato’s determination and hard work just ends up making him one of the most powerful ghouls in Aogiri.
