The old web never died — it just fell asleep and started dreaming in code.
Somewhere between a dead forum post and a faerie prayer, The Endless Chronicles has been running… quietly, endlessly. It’s not a fandom. It’s a memory leak in the collective mythos — a place where the timelines broke and no one ever cleaned up the mess.
Every story’s a trod. Every glitch a gate. You’ll find the wars, the queens, the soldiers who never logged out.
They built cities on data ghosts and called it peace.
Now it’s humming again.

Original content? on MY art blog? it’s more likely than you think
WOWZA it has been a long time since I drew... anything that wasn’t NeoScum lmao. I’ve been working on a LOT of larger-scale NeoScum projects tho and I needed to take a break and go back to my roots AKA draw some characters on a vague white background with colourful shapes so here are some Asherah kids
I don’t have names for either of them yet (I still have yet to do like... ANY cultural worldbuilding to determine that kind of stuff. it’s something I want to work on when I’ve cleared my current projects) but they live in a remote settlement in the bombed-out, irradiated central desert. They’re part of one of the first generations of native Asheran (hammerhark, in this case) kids to be born and raised alongside Asheran-born neofae which is a fun dynamic I want to explore. They like scavenging and building weird little robots for their own entertainment and they both want to be spacers one day
Neofae stuff. I’ve been settled on how they reproduce for A While so I took some time to polish up a first draft (bc I will probably end up changing half of this in six months) for body shapes
Queens make the eggs, sires fertilise ‘em by having the queen mount the sire and collect the necessary stuff, and then after a short period of development the offspring get deposited into a weird rubbery pouch on the backs of worker neofae where they grow to term and eventually pop right on out
I’m thinking the Whole Pouch turns into a sort of egg case and when it’s done cookin the entire thing slowly peels away from the carrier’s body and falls off painlessly a few days before hatching. A replacement regrows over a period of months and the cycle continues
I’m also still extremely not sure on colour palettes for neofae yet but I really dig this red/purple look... I was gonna try and avoid super bright stuff (ie neons and most things outside of the brown-red-yellow range except for blue masks) in natural colouring and have them be an artificial gene hack/body mod thing but yknow what. At this point they’ve been fucking with genetics long enough that a lot of these colours are attainable “naturally” so I might just roll with it
Some more Asherah stuff. Neofae are a race of metallic/rubbery spacefaring people. While Asherah’s inhabitants were busy fighting for power and having heated arguments over wealth and whose fault it was that everything was going to shit, Neofae were perfecting space travel and colonising (mostly) uninhabited planets. Asherah is one of the few planets with sapient life that they’ve set foot on. Neofae are generally pretty agreeable folk who aren’t setting out to conquer and pillage or whatever so when they arrived on Asherah post-apocalypse they just set up shop and have started to make contact with the locals
I’m still in the process of figuring out exactly what these guys look like... top batch of faces is pretty experimental and I like a lot of the results but idk if I’m leaning into them looking too much like Mercia’s baseborn or just like dragons. Asherah’s native races are very much squishy fleshy things that I’ve tried to take biology into account when designing but these guys are EXTREMELY out of the realm of human knowledge.
Middle is me trying to figure out how I want their arms to do because I’m trying to avoid just making their body plans look like humans. Bottom is me then considering putting a shell on them to further that but I don’t think I’m gonna go that route.
The #1 thing I know about them right now is that their natural metallic parts can be gold, silver, copper, or blue in colour. #2 is that their manes are made of metallic fibres that they can voluntarily raise/lower and rattle them as part of threat displays. I think I’m gonna make the manes be the same colour as the metallic parts of their faces which will probably also apply to stuff like claws and hooves.
They’re also very good at gene hacking and body modifications so while their natural metallic parts are as above and their natural skin comes in similar shades, they’ve mastered the art of making drastic physical changes to themselves. These can be superficial (dying the skin/spraying metal, scarification-like processes to inlay patterns/other colours, replacing large chunks of skin with a synthetic version to customise colour/pattern...) or they can straight up switch genes on and off. Right now this only allows them to alter genes they already have, and so tends to be less specific than precise, deliberate body mods, but implanting completely new genes is starting to open up possibilities
The joint lines on neofae bodies are almost certainly not gonna be bioluminescent I just love to colour glowing things
Idk if the joint lines will just be thinner and/or separate parts of skin that bend or collapse inward to allow for movement or if they’re gonna be actual openings that you can look at and see Internal Fibres. I guess the latter would be incredibly impractical because I’m squirming just thinking about how bad it would be to get something lodged in there so probably the former but it’s a cool thing to think about
