Okay after calming down I think I realized what happened in regards to my reaction. You tied up all your loose ends and also got a reaction out of me that was similar to the end of Deltarune chapter one. So when I finish the game for the first time, I was intending to try and get the happy ending cuz I assumed that's what would happen. Instead I was staring at my screen udderly shocked and I didn't even hear a single word of the song until she sang "don't forget I'm with you in the dark."
The way you made your second to last update I assumed it was going to be a happy ending or bittersweet at worse. Instead we got an ending. Ever since the painting said that one of them would destroy their home, I was so focused on that and I was wondering if that would even happen and I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was. You have set it up to mislead us to think that the paintings meant them potentially destroying the dark world (or at least not getting back to it) and not both worlds.
And I was just left there sitting in disbelief that it just ended with goat Prince just coming home. And just like with the game I did not want it to stop there.
And yet, it's the perfect end for both stories.
I guess the only question now is if Gaster will regret his decisions? (and if they can put on their Dark World armor at will now)
So thanks again for the amazing story that I will reread, just not right now. Because that was a very long emotional rollercoaster ride that ends and a very beautiful explosion.
Oh man, that's a lot to think over! But thank you so much, I really appreciate you sending your thoughts, and I'm super glad that you enjoyed everything!
Whether Gaster will regret anything is up for debate, but at least he can also get some consequences!
Thank you again for reading and enjoying it!!
