I’m doing work experience in the local hospital in paediatrics all this week and today I was meant to be with the emergency station but literally no kids came until 11am (started at 7), so I buggered off to the neonatal room instead and ended up feeding and changing a set of teeny tiny 2 week old premature triplets, went to get an ultrasound of another baby’s head, was support for a mother who came to breastfeed the tiniest baby I've ever seen in my life, and basically fell in love with neonatal work. Then one of the nurses saw me wandering the corridor and called me into the main paediatric nursing station and there was another new born baby in there so i was chilling with him too until one nurse was just like yeah umm you can go home now
