NEONRAPTOR BREWING CO: HEAVENLY DIPA!
Being a massive fan of IPAs and even more, of DIPAs I was pleasantly surprised when my suppliers at Real Ale mentioned an English Brewery I did not know about. Sadly, I missed the Meet The Brewer Event on May 17th at the Real Ale Twickenham’s headquarters where the team of Neonraptor presented their creations, so I wasted no time, once I was back to London over the week-end, to go and ask about this Nottingham based brewery.
I was recommended to try one of their top creation: New Construction Options. Although at first it tastes like a traditional DIPA (strong, full bodied and with plenty of personality), the New Construction Options has a kick, an inebriating after taste where barley rules. It’s a New England Style DIPA with a strong malt backbone. The level of bitterness is low, hence the mouthfeel of an explosion of fruity nuances.
The New Construction Options is very drinkable, 8% of pure DIPA which is more enjoyable if drank slowly, savoring each sip.
